I am in full support of being able to conceal boot armor; all armor. It is my opinion that players in an MMORPG should be able to have full control over their personal aesthetic style. Anything less is a restriction on something that doesn’t have an effect on any of the game’s mechanics. Running around in your underwear should be a viable option for players that focus on PvE. (PvP fans shouldn’t get all of the fun).

I think that all armors should be hideable. If you want to solve the issue of people running around naked (this really only happens with Humans and Norn…), change the underwear to be something people wouldn’t want to show off.

Everyone gets Asura-style underwear!

Seriously, though, I see no problem with hideable boots… I wouldn’t use the feature myself, just like i don’t choose to hide helmets, shoulders or gloves, but it’s obvious that many people here like the idea, and it does make sense in the case of charr.

I am in support of being able to hide all armor as well, even Charr underwear.

As the devs have apparently said no in the PvP forum, I’ve all but given up on the idea. I’ll just have to continue taking a stat hit if I choose to make my ele look like an ele trainer.

I am in no way a foot fetishist, however charr paws should be free! (they are paws, right? Not feet)

Anyhoo, I’d be more inclined to play charr again if this occurred. Literally the only thing stopping me before was the way the (hind) paws are treated. Really! Well... that and how charr behave with JPs.

Free charr paws! Stop paw oppression now!

Tbh, more freedom and styles with armour across the races would be great. Proper structuring on sylvari armours (remove smoothed bustle), truer equality between the sexes, optional boot removal definitely for charr and asura, and so on. There’s been some great suggestions from the community in this vein. I hope at least some of the options would be taken on board. At least optional boots should be easy to implement.

As a Charr player, I want the option to conceal my boots AND chest.
Male Charr just look bad-awesomekitten (censorship, sorry) without chest armor, and I like that as an aesthetic option.

I am going to join in wanting an option to remove boots.

As a Charr and Asura player, most of the boots just don’t look right, and a majority have AWFUL clipping issues, which ruin my immersion!

Also, I do think a lot of Light armor would look better with boots disabled.

Wow, this thread is still going?

Also, I do think a lot of Light armor would look better with boots disabled.

I’d say most light armour would look better with boots disabled. For some reason, the boots never seem to match the rest of the armour set, except for the human (female) T3 cultural armour. For Asura and Charr, boots in general just don’t seem to work at all.

How does a Charr even put on their boots? They look incredibly uncomfortable.
