I wasn’t around for it the first time round. Is it worth doing? Can anyone give me a link to info about it, or tell me what it was called last year so I can google it?

Thanks.

If you like jumping puzzles that are gorgeous with completely different movement skills- Bazaar is for you.
If you like farming- Queens Pavilion is for you
If you like one on one challenge Gauntlet is for you

check it out- those were the most popular LS releases.

Not for me they were.
I hate jumping puzzles, particularly ones tied to LS content
I hated the mini-dungeon instanced thing on the beach.
The Pavilion was so boring: ogres, bandits, centaurs, rinse, repeat. This was far worse than any champ train.
Gauntlet was meh.

The only thing I liked at this time were Scarlet’s invasions for the champ farming. Made a shed load of gold with this.

Ha ha!

We want permanent content, so we can do it again!

Don’t give us anything we have done before!

Too funny.

Permanent content is content that you don’t have to schedule for.

Two of my favourite updates! If they’d come around again a bit sooner I wouldn’t be sniffing around other games, kitten.

Fire up the Hyperbowl ma, we’re going to town!

Inb4 Gauntlet rewards Monocles, Jetpacks, and Scarlet’s Kiss as drops.

Maybe not. A player attended the China beta festival in Bejing and posted this on reddit:

  • Rare drops from past LS events, eg. Monocle and Molten Backpack will not be available for NA/EU but might be for China.

Without Scarlet there won’t necessarily be the endless farming on the lower levels of the pavilion that occurred last time. I hope they do something meaningful with those lower levels.

Never bothered with the lower levels myself- I was stuck in the rafters rage quitting and screaming my kid awake every time I won

One hope for Season 2:

More permanent, expansion-worthy content and less temporary content and gem-store items.

Three 80-lvl Rangers. Why? ‘Cos they’re that cool.

I don’t think there’ll be any living story content with this update. I think this is just to give us something to chew on. Else, why introduce them out of sequence. Queen’s gauntlet was june last year, and Zephyr was august (I think). I doubt there’ll be new bosses, they don’t even have time to be on the forums, why would they have time to balance test new bosses? I do wonder if there’ll be new achievements. Probably not.

I picking that there’ll probably be a minor achievement or two related to bandits (the lawless?) in the Brisbane Wildlands. Nothing major.

About time

Definitely with the Zephyrites. I thought for sure that the Bazaar would pop up a few times a year, even unannounced, so people could wander in and tool around. I won’t say I’m disappointed that didn’t happen but it would have been nice.

It pleases me that these are coming back. I loved both of these events, and I’m thrilled to see them again.

However, I am slightly amused that the first update China gets will be recycled events.

I think they may have decided to go with reintroducing these two different types of content at the same time…

  • …so NA/EU have something to do and why not have it be two chapters that were really well-received. It also doesn’t hurt that the two areas also reflect very different elements of gameplay and are the perfect training grounds for new players.
  • …so the Chinese players have a few weeks to get used to playing the game and learning their professions and how to do stuff while also introducing them to the LW model of updates. They likely didn’t want to throw LS:S2 on them without their first having an introduction of what type of content to expect with updates or even an idea of how to play their characters in that content when it comes out.

Actually they are recurring events, not recycled. Recycled would be like the MMO that releases new bosses that are copies of old bosses. Recurring is content that periodically comes into the game such as festivals or holiday events.

I’m pleased to see that they aren’t just putting the same exact event back in, from the video it appears they’ve added lots of art assets to the Labyrinthine Cliffs and the comment from Ree Soesbee stating that there are hints and secrets for LS2 incorporated into the event makes it very exciting!
