Let me set this straight, once again. My point is, it’s fine to make constructive feedback about things your not happy with, but to make whiny posts about how the game as a whole is failing or going downhill is just complete rubbish and that’s what brings the negatively. ANet appreciate feedback, they don’t appreciate people telling them the game they have worked so hard with and continue to do so is failing, when it isn’t.

That’s an absurd statement. Feedback and moaning are defined by the reader. What’s complaining uselessly to you can be legitimate feedback to another, negative or positive.

Let ANet decide what they call feedback and whining. You don’t work for them. You don’t represent them. Who are you to tell anyone on this forum as to how they can express themselves? |:

It’s called logic. For example, how would you feel if you worked on something for years and then people starting saying ‘its failing’ or ‘arena net ignore us’ or ‘its going downhill’. When it’s obvious there doing there best they can for us. They only have so many priorities and they can’t please everyone. If someone has constructive feedback about something in PARTICULAR then it’s different. But it’s nice to try and keep a positive vibe in the community. It’s a game at the end of the day. Im not trying to ‘represent’ ArenaNet. People who moan about the game as a whole aren’t looking at the bigger picture. Yes there’s things wrong with the game and things need looking at. But all in all it isn’t a game that’s going downhill as people are making it out to be.

It’s called business, hon, particularly in the software arena.

It is perfectly reasonable to appreciate ANet’s efforts and yet be totally dissatisfied with the results of those efforts.

Purchasing an MMO is an emotional decision, as are continuing to play and/or supporting the game. If the emotional experience from play turns negative, expect to see a negative emotional response. And sometimes that response is unedited, as strong emotions often interfere with discretion.

Does the negatively lie with ANet or the players/posters? Yes. To Both.

Should players post in a mature, constructive manner? Yes. That would be nice.

Should anyone demand that the other players post in a constructive manner for their own comfort level? No. Outside of the terms of use of the board, that’s just a little self-focused.

ANet staff should be professional enough to understand all of the above and gage player and their own responses accordingly.

I don’t know about you but I think half the players who whine on these forums don’t even play at an honest level of seriousness , or even play at all.

I think most have logged quite a few hours on the game and realized the game for it’s kitten.

Also, they probably did “play at an honest level of seriousness”, as those who don’t point out flaws in the game and pretend everything is fine and well in the game.

Anet doesn’t need you to join their ranks of forum police. They do well enough at that on their own.

It’s nice to see rare outbreaks of sanity, reasonableness and even-handedness, like this one.

the pvp is the most balanced you’ve seen ever? LOL is this your first video game?

…well, compared to PvE it is….
But we don’t get any street cred for arguing that. Only URMAGURD HARCORE1!11!11 forum PvP’ers (which I’ve steamrolled a few times b/c so many of them never actually played Gw1) get points for talking about game balance …. with their cute little quandries about Bunkering & “downed skills aren’t balanced” Talk. Here try these ones instead: “Oh all of your conditions work?? ALL OF THE TIME???” … or “You actually have Devs who care enough to post in your forum about that balance?”.

Honestly, it seems like PvP is still pretty well off in this game. It’s just lacking NEW content (which means you guys are even luckier if you’ve actually been paying attention to this studio’s track record on new content lately breaking everything else that USED to be good).
