Hello. I have a problem or atleast i think i have one , i pre-purchesed the game with one or two months before the release date and i didn’t get the actual game BOX in the mail . I want to know if i recive it or i just have this digital account and that’s it because i tought that i will actually recive the game in the post. Please help.

If you bought it from ArenaNet Digital Standard then no, not really sure how collectors and all that works.

If you bought a digital purchase, you won’t receive a box. Because well… it’s digital.

The only way you’ll get a box, is if you bought from a store (Pre-Purchase or Pre-Order) over the counter or you bought the Collector’s Edition.

Are you in Europe by any chance?

If so that’s normal – you are not supposed to get another box, because the EU standard edition prepurchase consists of just the sleeve and the key you got prior to launch – that key is all you’ll ever need to play.

Only the US prepurchase players had to go and pick up their retail copy (or receive it by mail) and enter a 2nd code to continue playing after launch.

This does mean that the EU prepurchase boxes were effectively digital copies with a physical wrapper, since we will never have any game discs.
