i looked around the wiki and google but i couldn’t find any table showing the base stats of each profession at lvl 80.

any idea where i can see that? (unless i’m an idiot and all classes have the same base stats of 916)

Only stat that varies is HP I believe. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Health#Base_health_by_profession

Not really. Most of what differentiates each class are their skills and traits. Makes it far easier to balance if they only have to deal with 1 base stat difference.

Guards have low HP because they have massive amounts of damage mitigation and healing. Theives have low HP because they are supposed to be agile and not be hit as well as using stealth to avoid hits. Elementalists have low HP because of their ability to basically have 20 weapon skills instead of 10.

Any way guard has a lot of build in blocks, blocks that can heal you and heals that can block lol. Look at it this way guard gets a lot more out of healing power then say a War making up well over for the lost of hp you just got to have better timing for your heals to get the most hp out of a heal.
