Here’s something interesting to think about. Pull back and try to view this issue from a more basic sense. Isn’t Magic Find actually helping by proving to be a testament on how us (the community) is actually treating the game?

The solution is the proof to my point. All it takes is for people to start coordinating more and compromising a little so everyone can achieve their goal. Yet instead of compromising, it’s arrogance and greed.

The problem was never magic find, skipping content etc. The problem was and is… us. It’s a social game. If people were more friendly, open-minded and rational, then none of these topics would exist. Everyone would be in game right now working on establishing the warmhearted social interaction that is Guild Wars 2.

That’s probably what Anet had thought when they decided to add MF; the community will be friendly about it and work together to solve any disagreements.

ANet didn’t spend much time thinking when they implemented their whole gear stat system. It’s badly done as it is and the ascended trinkets are the worse.

Oh god no. How exactly does implementing a griefing system like mf help to form a sense of community?
Any game designer worth their salt should know that if you want people to be cooperative and friendly, the last thing you do is to give individuals the opportunity to work against the group and for themselves instead, it just doesn’t make sense.

Sure you can wear as many MF you want but i wanna know about it when iam in party with those leechers. I dont know why do we see such an useless stat like Achieve. points i get this game is about skins so inspect is probably out of table but some tab with basic stats would be nice.
Few days ago me and my 2 freinds went for 36 daily so i made post on lfg and some war and ranger came, later we find out they are wearing MF becase when we asked which armor they have (We were suspicious after a while. There were down too much and it was waaaay too slow) and they linked us completely different armor then they were wearing in short our 36lvl fractal run was long like 48lvl run it was just crazy slow.
Sure for ppl who are doing 1-2 runs per day anyway, they dont mind if it takes 2x long but the rest of us who are looking for fast and smooth runs are seriously gimped by those leechers. You might say i had fast and smooth runs in full MF set, well thats possible but trust me it wasnt because of the MF gear….

This is the only reason why I usually prefer solo these days …. these hardcore, rude types, hurry, hurry you slackers, ltp, gotta get the loot NOW-types are too much stress for a nice evening of questing.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It’s just a kittening game! Chill out, eat some omnomberry bars, and have some fun. Quit complaining about the way other people play the game they payed for. You don’t want MF, or want to do speed runs, specify it in LFG or join a group that has specified it. Done problem solved!

I agree that it would be better if Anet gave us decent loot and not have to deal with MF but they didn’t and MF is here to stay. It is there to be used and we will use it no matter how hard you cry! I may be selfish when I say that but I don’t give a kitten. If you aren’t happy about it it’s your problem not mine.
