To whomever authoritative figure,

are third party key binds allowed in GW2? I want to bind my pets attack and return commands to my mousewheel but their is no option in the control options to do mousewheel key binds. I want to do this because the ranger pet is cumbersome in WvW and consumes too much mental resource to use fingers already dedicated to abilities and movement to manage my pet while keeping track of hordes of people on my screen and my pets location relative to me and whomever it is attacking and whomever else is relevant while managing my own character in organized chaos.

so sayeth the great innuendo

EULA – https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/guild-wars-2-user-agreement/

8. PROHIBITED AND IRREPARABLY HARMFUL ACTIVITIES CONCERNING NCSOFT

You acknowledge that You may not, without signed written consent from a legally authorized representative of NCsoft, do any of the following:

© Use, or provide others with, any software related to the Game, including any automation software (a.k.a. “bot”) or software designed to change or modify operation of the Game;

As long as you don’t automate features (as bot’s do) there should be no problem at all.

Some mouses needs software (generally supplied with the mouse) to bind keys into the extra buttons. Some players use keyboard changing software to alter the layout of their keyboard for convenience. I believe it’s a matter of judgment:

Will you use that software to create any loop/automation process?

Hi everyone,

Here you can find the 3rd party program policy https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Policy-Third-Party-Programs/first#post354869.

Please refrain form using any program that breaks any of the rules mentioned there.

Thanks for your understanding. This thread is closed.
