Any one know if Anet will release a race change option in the gem store?

Race change? There are races in the game? I thought everyone ran at the same speed. What would be the point of a race? Unless it was a jump puzzle disguised as an obstacle course…

Other than maybe a Sylvari wishing upon a star in order to become a real boy (or girl) I don’t think a race change would be something that would be offered as an option. I myself use the delete/create method, in that if I don’t like my character’s race I delete that character and create another character of whatever race I’d rather try. This has the benefit of being completely free. Beyond the initial purchase price of the game, of course.

To answer your question directly, I myself do not know if Anet will release a race change option in the gem store, but the likelihood that someone here may indeed know is not entirely outside the realm of possibility.

Considering each race has a different personal story I think this is borderline impossible.

I suppose they could just reset the story so you have to work through the new race story from the beginning but to be honest the game has only been out a short while so its probably just as easy to reroll the race you want this early into the release.

not at all, they will just either

A) Reset the entire story
B) have the story status as completed

easy really, the coding now thats the difficult part.

i dont want to see a race change this isnt a game all about endgame so theres really no need.
