@Mikuna:
Norn Ranger – I like her, tells me shes been through the wild & ready for it. 7/10
Asura Necro – Very necro with a creepy factor & that outfit is awesome for asuras. 9/10
Human Eng – Not so much engineer to me, but gives a mobile feel. I like the pistols. 4/10
Sylvari Ele – Plant fit for a plant dress, so its defiantly fitting. 5/10
Human Mes – She gives me a gypsy feel. It looks good. 7/10
My Charr engineer. I wanted the gas mask for so long & once I got it, I had to play around with what can I mix-up & make fit.
So its basically a “End-of-Days/After-Apocalypse/Everyman-For-Himself” look??
Using a lot of explosives, and fire is what I love about him. I just wish charr horns actually went through this helms.
(I bugged myself after using elixir X and made a copy of myself running in place. Mesmer in training? )
That mask ruins it for me, the rest of you’r armor looks pretty cool.
The first I thought of when i saw the mask was a “cow”. It fits the style of the armor, but it just looks stupid..
Nice choice of colours and that big weapon seems overkill:D
Anyways, I don’t think any armor can be rated by numbers so I’ll just say I like the whole set except the mask.
Here’s my female Warrior in two different weapon sets. The second one seems to fit most to the armor. Have yet to find a armor set I like that fits in with Twilight.
I like the mix and the golden dye really looks awesome and shiny, you probably get instant Faceaggro from Skritt.
9/10
I made a Sylvari Necromancer a few hours ago as I got my 5k AP chest and was able to buy an 8th Character Slot.
I really love his look, even though his Voice isn’t as evil as it should be, he really looks like a fearsome Necromancer in my Opinion, but I’m blinded by the Love to my Characters :P
It’s a combination of Tier 2 and Tier 1 Cultural Armor with simple Japanelo and ebony dye.
For something simple it looks really good together, especially with the color combo you picked; Could probably pass for one of Poison Ivy’s evil creations
8.5/10
My warrior, Oboro The Wolf (I tried to make an armor combo that resembles a metallic timber-wolf, to match her name.)
You see guys – this is what I personally like. A story behind the created character – you always look at it from the very different angle… therefore
shinobaruwrxsti – 8,5/10 without the story I would have rated your toon differently. But I know what you were aiming for – and you nailed it. Especially helm with “ears” matches desired theme perfectly. To some degree your toon reminds me a watchknight In the sense of “mechanical” golem. I wouldn’t like to play this character myself, but very good job overall.
Side note –
Hebee – same story. Great “postapocalyptic” toon! Very original approach. And I liked the story as much as screenshots.
Pandeh – Great screenshots! especially the first one That required quite a good timing
My turn – Here’s my elementalist – The reason behind her was simple. She is a sorceress. She doesn’t care about armor- thats what the magical shields are for. But she cares for her looks. She likes to be standing out. Ostentatiously. I remember when i created her I really wanted to use that particular face. I thought that this is the only one with “mature” and “dignified” feeling at the same time.
And I failed miserably. I wasn’t impressed, so wasn’t my wife. When total makeover kit got available, I bought it immediately, reworked her and there she is…
As for the gear – having so many toons I decided to have masquerade set at least on one of my characters. I like the lavishness of this set and that’s the only one with the crinoline:)
To sum it up – nothing really creative about outfit, but I really like her face and I think colors aren’t too bad.
I give it an 8/10 – I’m not the biggest fan of that face template but it works!
Since I got the 10k title, I abandoned the Radiant armor and went back to a much sleeker look for my Guardian. Treated him to Genesis, too.
Resident Thief
^ 8/10. It’s nice, but not my style. The dyes you chose look good on your set, though.
I have one main set and one alt set for my Warrior.
First one is a mixture of Tier 2 and 3 Human Cultural and Arah Legs.
For the second one, I went for a Spartan/Barbaric kind of look.

Red/Black combo is very cliche’ but I don’t care, I like what I like, and that color combination I do LIKE! The armor mix is also super awesome
I call this medium armor combo “The Shadow of Ebonhawke”:
(Modified version of armor found in Ebonhawke/Fields of Ruin but with subdued colors and a ninja mask for covert missions)
Alright guys, looking for a little help. I’m looking for a combo similar to Elite Labyrinthine for Monks in GW1. Most people who played Guild Wars knows what I’m talking about. The usual set-up, Laby dyed black with Chaos Gloves and a good Dread Mask to top it off. I rolled an Ele Norn for the tattoos, so here’s what she looks like in the buff.
Right now, there’s not much to work with it seems in-game, but I haven’t checked all the armors out piece-by-piece yet either. Hoping you guys that have been playing longer than myself can help me out a bit. I want to be able to have the tattoos showing, which ANet did an outstanding job with covering up practically all potentially matching sets from what I can see on the Wiki.
Thanks guys.
@shinobaruwrxsti I really like that outfit. Very slick and simple. Nothing to get in the way of a job at hand. And while the color combination is I guess very straight forward for a thief, it still looks great, 8/10.
This is my guardian. Always liked a standart heavy armor rather than a fancy one like the TA or Arah ones. Used to run in full CM set, but switched it up for mix and match lately (CM helmet, HotW shoulers, Vigil chest, legs and boots, Radiant gauntlets)
@nemeth.4196 8/10 you look like you have seen one too many wars. ;p
I made Tu Funneh a cutesy so when she turns into a Lich it would be more shocking.
@White Raven: 8/10 – mainly because of the helmet makes your Asuran look Oriental, and I used to have that Staff
This is my Sylvari Mesmer. I farmed about 165 gold from this update to get those two swords —> which looks awesome on Mesmers
@Copestetic: Some ideas for your ele:
The winged set would seem to work for showing off the tattoos (be aware that you can hide helmet, shoulders and gloves):
http://argos-soft.net/GW2ArmorGallery/index.php?weight=1&race=3&color=10&sex=1&armorSet=locuti
Or maybe the feathered as well:
http://argos-soft.net/GW2ArmorGallery/index.php?weight=1&race=3&color=10&sex=1&armorSet=featheri
Also maybe some mix and match, like the conjurer’s top:
http://argos-soft.net/GW2ArmorGallery/index.php?weight=1&race=3&color=10&sex=1&armorSet=iriiai
with any of the pants of the sets I mentioned above or the pants of the svanir (HotW) set:

wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
Side Note
Copestetic – actually, if you like to have outfit that shows your tattoos both on arms and legs… you’re choice is quite narrow – as for the legs, theres only (!) 1 option available – and that is, ironically, bottom that you are given at start (acolyte one). There’s some other bottoms that exposes a bit of legs as well (new phoenix set, feathered skirt, HOTW skirt) but there are no other “minis” if thats what you are looking for.
As for the top here’s a bit more diversity – acolyte top, karma lvl 80 corset, feathered top, order of whispers top, conjurer’s set top.. But none of these leaves all of the arms exposed, they have some sort of sleeves anyways…
And yes, I’m also astonished how detailed might be the character you create (norns tattoos, charrs fur patterns, sylvari skin patterns) and how much work was put to have it all covered because of the insane amount of sets that covers it all anyways…
Brit, I LOVE the armor you have. Which is it? And the blindfold too. I love the whole look. I find light armor challenging. The weapons are insane. You must have worked hard to farm that much gold.
9/10.
Here is my Necromancer Charr. I am still trying to find the best armor. She is level 80. The weapons arn’t final and due to being Charr, I am having issues finding the armor that wont clip anything. I am happy with her looks for the moment now. I would love some more cultural armor, but it clips tails and shaves the mane. (Please give some love to our thread on this board where we talk about this! Support Charrmor plight)
Brit, I LOVE the armor you have. Which is it?
Apprentice shoes (the starter skin)
Armageddon pants (karma)
Shadow top (purchasable craft pattern, or karma purchase)
masquerade shoulders (crafted)
Not sure on her gloves. I cant see them well enough.
Edit: Is it sad that I can so easily recognize the light components? I spend too much time armor shopping….

Hehe Gloves are from the Dry Bones set. I like the combination look of mine, and thanks for the compliments. Took quite a while to get to that look. As for the weapons, it’s an accumulation of everything I got and sold from this event – the last stretch and only proper farm time was the three hours or so in Frostgorge last night. Then finally decided I couldn’t wait any longer and bought them (pink swords)
(edited by Brit.9726)
I still love my sylvari the most.
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but you abuse the privilege.
@Kiono, I really love the “action” aspect of the first picture, but the character falls short with that red which clashes with the steel blue of your charr.
- 5/10
@Arya, these are some of the most unique characters I’ve seen! I’m rating off of preference here, so:

I wish i could have seen your charr better :-). I like “the giant wasp” theme and you wear pants not a skirt which is big plus
Well, sometimes it isn’t about the armor… Sometimes it’s about character himself…
It’s not that hard to guess what i was aiming for with this one…

He looks incredibly feral, i’ve never seen this look before!
10/10
This is my pride and joy, my Necromancer. He’s been my main since BWE1.
I just finished this look, and I must say, i’m pretty proud of it!
@Xan Thav: 8/10
I love the dark mage look you’ve going on with your asura. My main issue is the dye your using is removing some of the details from the armor. It’s making it look kind of bland. Granted, I will say that dying sylvari-themed armor can be tricky in that you get random colors that aren’t close to the dye you actually used… Or is that a sylvari-only problem when it comes to plant armor? (I know that out skin tones affect armor, but there are some dyes that get some odd effects on these sets.)
Anyway, here’s my main sylvari guardian!
I didn’t go for the regular plant-theme with him due to being bored of it (I was using a mix of T1 and Whispers for a long time). I might go back to it some day, but for now I’m sticking with this!
Looks great! Seems you like white and red! 8.5/10
This is my elementalist Hikoro Bikani! I wanted to go for a Lionsguard style, since i like their colors.
You, sir, could be a capt. of the gaurd with that combo..9/10!
Thanks to Runa for inspiration on this look for my guardian. I tried to do some mix/match with gold and silver dyes, but nothing ever quite looked right…..so I had to stick to a more pedestrian dye job:
tier 3 shoulders
tier 2 chest
draconian gloves and boots
Aetherblade sexypants
Dyes are black, burnished steel and winter sky for the shoulder cloth bits.
Neenu Waffler-Warrior for what once was the Toast-
7/10
I like the colour and the metallic knights look!
the thing i dont like is the legs. You could need some knight looking metallic legs, but pretty good!
@ShadowMaster
8/10
I usually don’t like Asurans or their design but I really like how well your color fits together with your incinerator. The mystic dagger you have though throws it off a bit.
@ UrbanEMP
Its not a mystic dagger, its spirit link :p But i agree, i am working on a replacement now.
On topic: You’re a 9/10 IMO! Looks very good. Its not the classic norn T3 or Karma set, its unique and he looks kitten! One minus is the colours. Its all in the same colour (some black/grey-ish) which isnt really creative, but overall it looks amazing!
Im just updating here with my condition set! Just finished it. (I am thinking about replacing the legs, not sure yet)
@ShadowMaster
8.5/10! Really like your style here, all of the flames look cohesive & beautiful yet deadly. Great job!
Here’s my Thief. Decided to go for a look to match the achievement gloves and I think I nailed it. Went with sort of a posh theme, hence the monocle and shoulders. Even though they’re supposed to be a plant, I think the shoulders look like a fur trimming/hood piece if dyed properly. :P Also, used the desert rose to match the red front piece and the dragon jade weapons to match the rose!
@Noss
9/10 – I love the whole bandit look you’ve got going
Gate of Madness [ART]
@Buddy
I’ll have to admit, I’m not a big fan of the Sylvari cultural medium armor. I’d recommend perhaps finding other pieces of cultural or TA armor to mix and match with it because you definitely have some good pieces there.
I like how the colors you chose compliment the armor and each other. Green and gold is one of my favorite color schemes and I wish more people would take advantage of it. It’s also refreshing to see a ranger showcase their pet, especially one of the more aesthetically pleasing ones.
I liked your older man look with the white hair matching your outfit. and the daggers look good on you. you look like you belong in that wilderness pic. I’m just gonna take some points off because your not showin enough skin =P
this is my Ele , War , and Mesmer.

9.5/10/9.5
I like the first one a lot, the tattoo works really well with the skirt. The color scheme is nice too, goes well with the eyes. The hair stands out too much for me tho xD
The second is a great norn warrior, she freaks me out. Looks like she belongs in the wild :P
The third I like very much, never would have thought of using those legs with that chest piece. The color scheme is a cool one as well, great for a mesmer, but the blond hair doesn’t really work with it (not a fan of blondes, so that’s biased).
My guardian:
Dmzsfx: 8.5/10
Digg the color scheme, but I’m just not a fan of lower level heavy armor.
1.)Here’s my Warrior, I was going for a heavy plated look, but i really didn’t want to make him look like a guardian at the same time.
2.) My Necro’s main Rabid set, i wanted to make it look dressy, but an uneasy feeling about it as well.
3.) My Necro’s zerk set. I wanted make it a bit more noble and classy, kind of like a vampiric feel to it, and i think it turned out really well.

My Asura Guardian, caught without Aegis
really hard to rate Asuras :p
but I like how the blue in your armor compliments the zodiac weapon and I love the dye you used on the main part of the Armour.
So a solid 8
here is my new baby Mesmer- she is only level 24/5
She was born during the cycle of night and saw the shield of the moon in her dream.
I was going for a very simple, mystical look, reflective like the moon.
her name is Moonmirror Magic
really hard to rate Asuras :p

More color will help. I do like the fact that you used sylvari cultural armor. Big plus.

My main Character
Rate her look.
I’m rarely envious over anybody else’s character, but in this case… I am.
That’s easily one of the best looking characters I’ve seen on this thread, hands down.
Phoenix top, masquerade crinoline and t3 shoes matches so well that I’m wondering why I didn’t came up with that mix myself.
I don’t know how did you make that beauty out of that face template, but you did.
And this bloody red matches your elementalist so well.
I wouldn’t use that rose back myself, but somehow it fits.
10/10, I would have given you 11 if I could.
BTW – I was wondering whether anybody use this “old lady” template at all. Well – I know the answer. You did. And again – with good result.
As for me – here is my asuran engie. I didn’t care that much for his armor – it was all about his looks. He’s named “Azazello” after Mikhil Bulgakov character form “The Master and Margarita” character, which is a demon, a trickster with very distinctive dark and twisted sense of humor… And he plays with the fire occasionally :-)
So there he is – hope you like him.
I’m going to give you a 9/10. I love that his ears are black and tattered with all that flame around him it looks like his ears have been literally singed to pieces, and he’s happy about it. Kind of creepy, but in a good way. The hair is a nice fit too and the dye all ties in nicely.
My mesmer in a mix of cultural
9/10 love the colors you used, looks awesome…and always a fan the cultural
here’s my thief, all black is too cliche so i went the all white route

6/10!
Don’t get me wrong, its awesome that you’re not full black. But… Your skin is dark and armour is white, it doesnt match to well. Also, White armour with a blue dagger and pink offhand doesnt match either. And full white is not creative. try mixing in other colours, and get weapons that match the armor!
meh to each is their own, thanks for the comments though
Wu Táng Financial [Táng] – YB
Here’s my Warrior. I’m going for a normal GW1 female Warrior look. Most females had Elite Glad tops, Vabbian bottoms, Chaos Gloves, and Primeval Boots. Since I can replicate all that there thankfully, I’ll be reusing the combo in GW2 as well. Right now I lack Radiant Vambraces, as I only have 1k AP. Hopefully I’ll be able to get them next month to finish my armor set. As far as the top, Gladiator would be a better choice and more akin to the GW1 variation, but I enjoyed the Norn top a little better, thus my choice of my current top within GW2.
I chose the colors of “illumination” and “Midnight Fire” to replace the full black dye that was often seen on the GW1 set, since armor there wasn’t nearly as dye-friendly as in GW2 ( you can dye every part of the armor in 2, in 1 you couldn’t ).
So here she be.
Also, thanks for the suggestions on my Norn question. After a good 30 levels, I scrapped her and decided to just wait until more armor sets come out to work with the “Monk” look in GW2. Thanks though.
(edited by Copestetic.5174)
8/10 Nicely done! Bonus points for making her look very GW1. I also like the use of the blond bob. It’s a hairstyle you don’t often see on warriors.
Here’s my mesmer in Phoenix armor. I sometimes change out the mask for the Queen’s mask.
