Season 1 story needs a remake with season 2’s format however, I personally believe instead of the same original storyline, Season 1 Story needs a complete story overhaul that also stays true and consistent with Season 2’s story.

Getting to know your friends and your Role:

With a Story overhaul for Season 1, you get a chance to re-introduce Rox, Brahm, Taimi, Jory and Kas in a more personal level with our in game characters. You get a chance to show how the player character develops his/her relationship to his/her new group of friends. You get to show us how we become the leader of that group through the player’s actions and deeds. I believe in character development is key in any good story and part of that is lost since season 1 is unavailable to us but it can be fixed with a nice story overhaul that doesn’t conflict with Season 2 and HoT storyline.

The villain overhaul:

What made scarlet awesome was her personality, insanity and voice acting, but that’s about it…

With the villain overhaul, you have the opportunity to make Scarlet relatable to us. You get to show us no matter how intelligent someone is, how strong someone is, and how good someone’s moral is, they too can tragically become corrupted. You can show us Scarlet’s struggle and the player character’s struggle. You can show us the good side of Scarlet as her corruption starts taking over. Maybe the player character starts doing certain things for the Elder Dragon without even knowing it and realizes later that Scarlet is going through the same thing and fights back. Maybe the player character tries to save Scarlet from herself until finally it’s too late and she awakens Mordremoth which ends the new Season 1 story and starts season 2 story.

Those are my suggestions, ideas, and advice.
I hope to see a remake of season 1 story. =) Good luck ArenaNet.

She could have done truly amazing things. Scarlet was never a villain, but a misunderstood hero. The dragons power is amazing and we could have had it at some point. Yeah, tons of people would have died, but isn’t that worth it. Scarlet was never corrupt, she was just too wise for Tyria.

Too get back to your question. Too expensive unless you’ll fund it.

They’re not going to write entirely new dialogue dude.

The best you can expect from a revamp is conversion of some of the important world events in to instances, along with the return of all the old instances, and probably turning certain things that weren’t really story critical (like fixing all those signs and many of the scavenger hunts) in to ingame mails. For example, no leyline gizmo scavenger hunt, and in stead you get a mail from taimi stating “we researched the placement of these devices and they led us to this point”

The real “work” in a season 1 revamp is making the important bits, like the tower of nightmares, battle for LA, breachmaker phase 1, etc. compatible for solo instances, in most cases probably by nerfing the difficulty and giving you NPC allies.
