Why have they decided to change the main effect in the Superior rune of Balthazar from power to conditional damage? (also for some bizarre reason they’ve changed haste into quickness.)

http://dulfy.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/gw2-ready-up-livestream-rune-changes-2.jpg

I have this rune in 3 different sets of lvl 80 armour (16 pieces of armour) which has been transmuted, so not only have i spend gold on them, but i have also spend real cash on them. Because they are transmuted that means i cannot now add another rune to them/swap the rune.

Ive heard so many times that conditional damage in this game is terrible, also these armours i use are for a warrior so with them two reasons combined i really do not want/need condi damage.

Is anet gonna allow some type of rune change?

Are they gonna give me a refund as now they are not the armour i originally made and soon will be totally useless to me and my warrior.

ATM even in the best case scenario, ill still have to buy (with gold) the exotic armour, (which i used for the stats) and i will also have to spend more real money in their shop (to get the transmutation crystals) again just to get back what i originally had.

Surely they must know this will affect a lot of people and will make their armour useless. The people who already have this rune probably bought it for the power, (as thats the main stat on it) so to change it for no reason (other than to push the broken condi) is a really silly decision.

TL;DR They’ve changed the superior rune of balthazar, i have it on 16 pieces of armour for my warrior and had to spend gold and real money to get them, now they are useless to me and a waste of said currency.

May I ask why are you using a rune that prolongs burning when you do not stat yourself for burning? The main effect of the run is burning.

well for a few reasons, (though i dont see why this matters) the power on it, the burning for when i use a longbow and also because i play with my gf, i act as the ‘tank’ so the added effect of burning mobs when i need to heal is handy.

Either way it doesnt matter, i got these cause of what was on them, because power was on them, now my items are useless. You seem to just miss the issue as though you are ready to jump to anets defence, whatever way you cut it, people would have bought these runes with the power in mind.

I dont think you can do that once you have transmuted an item, ive tried it before and it wouldnt let me.

No, you totally can. Just double click the new rune, then drop it on your armor. It will destroy the old rune, but nothing else.

You can most certainly re-rune transmuted items.

cool, well thanks for letting me know. i can stop being gutted (slightly) now lol

i must have tried to use a rune that was too low of a level to use, i dont know, but like i said it didnt work and i thought it was because it was transmuted.

Why though would they change something like that, i found those runes really handy (and also loved burning as i healed, like it was an extra move/combo).

They are redoing all the runes. Some are getting changed completely, others simply adjusting the bonuses to the top of the set bonus. Many of them are being improved.

In such a massive sweep of things, there is bound to be change. You may find that they will have a new rune that will do what you want even better after it is all said and done. They have only shown us the 3 runes. Wait till all the rest are visible.

yeah i will, most of this rant was because i thought i couldnt re-rune them.

I liked how it fitted into my playstyle but also like i said it was an extra move, (healing was now also attacking). I just hope theres more runes like that, rune of the flock etc which have an added visual effect.
