Huh. Didn’t realize this about the decorations. Well, I really don’t do any Tribulation Modes. Regular SAB is plenty challenging for me. lol

This is what many many players demanded. There were constant threads of players demanding SAB to be released even if it didn’t include new content. It’s strange now since there’s people demanding more because that isn’t enough. Kind of the same thing with the duration. It’s like people demand one thing, get it, and then decide that they want more because they got what they had originally demanded.

You don’t even need to buy the infinite coin. Normal continue coins can be bought with baubles.

Good luck trying Tribulation mode with normal continue coins…..

There are videos that walk you through it. The jumping portions really are not all that difficult. There were many people that completed both worlds last time using just regular coins.

Does anyone know how is it possible that Kaiser skins are already on TP? Aren’t they available only from doing dailes for 8 days? Do they drop from end chests or what?

My post and opinion still stands. I don’t care that SOME people can and do find this simple enough and that they make videos about it. They should not have hid these decorations behind an achieve that a very small % of the population will be able to do. Just imagine if they went ahead and put the regular guild hall decorations behind raids. Can you imagine the kind of feedback that they would get?

This is just another bad decision anet has made, they sure are making a lot of these recently it’s like they are pushing us to see just how far they can go lol….

Did all the cry-babies from last year seriously made you kill the joke this year, Anet? You do realize, I hope, that it’s your first year in a live game that has no new April Fools’. It makes me sad. And I know it’s me this year who’s spoiling the fun, but I would like the joke to return next year, please…? I don’t want April Fools’ to be just a SAB festival every year from this point onwards, it would be an end of a beautiful tradition :/

I was going to make a long winded post explaining why it’s better for it to be seasonal and the problems with it being permanent, but then I realized there’s not really any point in doing so since that’s the way it’s going to be anyway.

It’s like “people” includes more than a single person, with more than a single opinion!

Meh scratch everything I posted here. Completing those achieves and unlocking the tab on motto only gives you access to more furniture coins for baubles. This is all scribe related, so I am not sure if people would still complain over that instead (having to lvl up the craft to access these decorations).

But still, they could/should have explained it better, especially the text on the achievements themselves.

I’m at work right now, so I can’t check, but doesn’t it take like 10 seconds in world 2-3 to get enough Baubles for a continue coin?

They are only 10 baubles, right? There’s a 10-bauble almost immediately in 2-3. And the Polar Bears drop 10 and the Bananas drop 5.

The main game, you mean outside of SAB? It’s already there – Jump puzzles which is what SAB evolved from to become the ultimate JP.

You can get 150 continue coins per world daily just from the Bauble Bubbles in the Glorious Chests.

I think that’s 1500 lives total.

So the point of this post? Moaning about having to buy the infinite coin to succeed easier at SAB? No. If anything the big selling point of SAB being about the new guild hall decorations when a good chunk of the population wont be able to get access to those (except the basic cloud) because of the fact they are tied behind having to do tribulation mode.

The only thing it unlocks is the ability to buy those furniture coins from Moto. The only thing you can buy from those coins are clouds. But those clouds are crafting ingredients for the scribe to make other SAB elements.

I was under the wrong impression apparently. I really hope that ANet does change this. Tribulation mode is not for everybody and everybody will get furniture tokens if they play SAB for the daily. Most of those tokens will now never be used…

Keep it as a Festival. We need more Festivals, not less.

Well in that case we should make PvP a “Festival”. Three weeks of the year you can fight against other players!

Good Idea. Be careful what you wish for.

I wanted to have the pistol skin for my cheese character and I don’t know how much it was on the TP, maybe ~500 gold, and I was too stingy (stupid me) I actually had no idea how awesome the whole weapondesign is.
And my Asura is becoming cheesier with every event

Also I liked how you changed world 2-2 and 2-3. It feels kind of weird knowing how much was cut to make it shorter, but you can still do the non-skips if you so choose/want the achievements, and those levels were far to long anyway.

Well the ice skater achievement sure was easy to do, this time around… but other than that you are absolutely right. And it definitely feels weird, I mean there are quite literally whole mechanics you don’t ever have to see if you take the speedy exits.

By the way, has anyone noticed that W2 Z3 is way more slippery than it used to be the icicle platforms are way harder to stay on same with the icy bridges that disappear. So easy to slide into totally wrong direction and straight off the bridge we go…

The jumping feels bit different too, things that used to be easier or even trivial are now more tricky (case and point with the ice bridges, especially the one that ends in mid air with disappearing bits) and some things that used to tough are easier.

+1 for this.
Just realized that there’s no april’s fools joke this year besides some semi-funny fake patch notes. That’s even more sad than the fact that suddenly since SAB came back, it seems impossible to do something else in the game. HoT meta events? Good luck finding enough people. Get your usually people for fotm/dungeons ‘n stuff? No way since they’re split 50:50 between the “oh my- SAB is back, yay! See you after april 19th.” and those that don’t care.
I didn’t even think it was possible for a GW game to put me to a “guess it’s time for a break” mindset. I’m shocked.

I mean in new open world maps in the next expansion needing skills that that to unlock waypoints and points of interests and advance story mode. Jumping puzzles are off to the side so they aren’t exactly “main” but are in the main world.

An unranked sPvP map that takes place in an area like Tribulation Mode stage 1 area 1 would be cool. When people talk about PvE they really mean PvC (Player versus Creep) but Tribulation Mode is true PvE (as in the environment itself is the obstacle) which can mesh well with PvP if done right.

I am happy that you guys have fun in SAB

Unfortunately I am not able to play it, because it will give me migraine. I think Anet might bring SAB now every year in 1st of April, like they did in GW1 with Corporal Bane missions in Embark Beach. That would be awesome, so people could have fun in every year, and Anet don’t need to waste their resources to make new jokes and tricks.

Let’s hope guys that this will happen, and we will get SAB every year now on.

Thank you Anet for bringing back SAB for those who can play it I am pleased on behalf of all others players.

Done whole world 1 in tribulation without infinite coin. It’s 100% possible if you know how to jump and follow a video guide.

The shop from world 1 stage 1 is not really hard to get, it’s at the beginning and not even during hard/tricky part. The only things I hate in tribulation mode is the latency when you have to jump with these kitten rocks.

I’ll certainly try world 2 soon, and again, without infinite coins. You really don’t need it.

I have got it now and I think you may be on to something there with the latency. I am in New Zealand so an average ping of 200-300 is what I am used to. If only they would do to jumps (as well as a few other things such as jump pads, mushrooms etc) what they did with glider opening, that could solve a lot off issues for a lot of people.

Only gripe is in tribulation mode where certain jumps are easier if you know how to do the infamous dodge+jump combo
