not even excited at all about this giving how LS has been going the last few maps and so forth . heck the story does not even make sense in the last one . and if it does come out that is the case . well at best worse cases their be 5 seconds of new game play . and another map to not go back to again ever . like lake Doric and the last new map . other than the fact you save your self 200 gems doing the story mode content at best
Looking back to Season 2 and how they setup HoT, absolutely.
Trying not to get myself hyped to much and will try to just enjoy it.
The new fractal will be nice too.
Let’s hope the release is more or less bug free (who are we kidding, let’s hope nothing to big gets broken. though I do think stuff will be smoothened out by wensday).
I played Living Story 2 AFTER HoT, and lemme tell you, the finale of LS2 blew me away. I was like “Ooooh this is exciting” but then I remembered I already played through most of HoT. Even then, the way the finale built up for that ending was phenomenal. The cinematics were really emotional (the Pact in VB, the xpac teaser trailer) and even after playing through HoT I still had that feeling of great anticipation. I really hope all the elements – art, music, gameplay, story – come together tomorrow like it did for the LS2 ending.
I remember LS2 mostly fondly. There were some boring political bits, but overall there was a clear direction and ramp-up to facing M.
LS3…. wasn’t quite as clear. Lazarus is back. No, wait, he’s not. Primodius is active! Oh, no he’s not. Jormag is active too.. or is he? Kas is gone. Kas is back. Kas is gone again. Braham’s back.. oh, he’s gone again. At least Rytlock’s still here.. oh, he’s gone too.
It’s episode 6 and I still have no idea where this is going. I hope this episode ties up some loose ends instead of creating new ones.

Personally my favorite thing in LS3 was coming back to human matters- Caudecus, White Mantle, Jennah, Anise, Mesmer Collective. That was really exciting.
Let me make the summary and I am looking forward to your opinions about this summary.
1st ep.- we went to Rata Novus and met Taimi. We talked about magic, the possible aftermaths after Mordremoth’s death. We also went to Hoelbrak to mourn our lost.
We went to investigate the Bloodstone who blew up and we had to figure out who consumed the whole magic. Caudecus became the leader of WM and betrayed the Throne. Lazarus appeared and burnt a lot of Caudecus’ followers by his fires. Primordus is active.
2nd ep. We found out that Primordus and Jormag are active and they both may have signs of Mordremoth and Zhaitan’ s influences. Primordus moved under Ring of Fire and caused that the volcano activated so we had to calm it down. The episode ended with the grand reveal of the new Dragon- Aurene. During the battle for her Lazarus appeared and stated that he wants be the friend. Jory stated that she will watch his moves. Caithe was allowed to guard over Aurene.
3rd ep. We met with Aurene, Luminate and Caithe and we began the life lessons to put Aurene onto the right path. We made a breakthrough with our Dragons’ researches and we figured out that we can force Primordus and Jormag to fight with one another using the Eternal Alchemy. We went to Far Shiverpeaks to gain the sample from anomalous Ice creature and we catched up with Braham and Rox. Braham wanted to find the ancient artifact to put it into Eir’s bow. He used it in Hoelbrak and cracked the tooth of Jormag in meantime we had an argument with him and he stated that he is going to kill Jormag without our permission what can cause the horrible aftermaths.
4th ep. We got the letter from the Queen who needed help because of incoming White Mantle attack. She gave a speech and during it the shoots from the cannons destroyed the dam. Jennah used her mesmer magic to build the shield who defended us from the shoots. Estelle showed up as the enemy who wanted to kill the Queen. We had to kill Estelle. Divinity’s Reach was safe for now. Then we had to find Caudecus, Demmi, his daughter helped us to find him but during the confrontation she died because his own father shot her straight into her heart. She is with Tybalt now. Valette Wi helped us to reach Caudecus’ base so we could kill him. He ate many bloodstone pieces and became an abomination. After that Valette told us that we can find more info in his office, in his desk we find the missing Lazarus’ aspect what meant that somebody who is posting as Lazarus is liar.
5th ep. We catched up with Kasmeer in Rata Novus and she joined Dragon’s Watch. We met Taimi who was preparing her machine all the time. The machine who can kill 2 dragons. We had to find out who is Lazarus. Marjory said Lazarus has the mirror and Kas said that this thing can disguise somebody as somebody else.
After the confrontation the illusion broke down and Lazarus was in fact the ancient powerful being- the God of Fire and War Balthazar. He stole the machine, injured Marjory, Kasmeer who had always prayed to the Gods now she broke down. And we had to find Balthazar and the machine. In the final instance, in the volcano where Primordus made a base Balthazar used the machine against him and wanted to consume all the magic. Balthazar said that he lost his power in the unknown circumstances for us. We had to recalibrate the machine and Taimi did so we didn’t let Balthazar consume the whole magic of the dragons, Primordus fell asleap and likely Jormag too.

I’m not sure what opinion you’re expecting from your summary. I know what things happened during the season; I played through it. I’m just saying that the season itself doesn’t have a clear, coherent direction. Maybe this episode will bring it together, but it’s got a hard task ahead of it. We’ll know soon.

I am so excited. Not only do we get a new Fractal, a new Legendary, the final episode of LWS3 and a look at the return of Orr, but the high possibility of Expansion 2’s teaser (if they follow LWS2).
The mission is shifting. We know we can drain the magic from the dragons and put them to sleep. With Taimi, and possibly Zoja, the future of Tyria looks clear of dragons. But then, there’s Balthazar and what awaits us in Orr. Is Zhaitan dead, or did we simply beat him to sleep? So many questions…are there answers to them all?
Excited as well. Hoping its our news of expansion, but the problem with hype is that it can be a let down. That’s why its a fine balance between news and hype. Right now ANet’s direction is in no news is good news which is on the other extreme of hype. Hoping they can better balance that since right now when we try and share news with guildies out of game currently they ask what the official word is before they consider returning and the bleak truthful answer is, well there isn’t any….That said, is it 5 yet?
I’m …starting to feel a little less cautiously hopeful. I haven’t had time to play it yet, but is it true there’s a tome now to hold all the portal scrolls?
