I’m sure many players have multiple costume tonics sitting in their banks and/or across multiple characters. There are numerous infinite tonics as well as as the limited ones you get from dungeons and various vendors. With these all spread out, and limited inventory space, players are forced to choose specific ones that they would like to use or otherwise go to visit the bank to grab the one they want.
My suggestion would be to create a tab on the hero menu for all of these costumes. All of the tonics would then be converted into charges similar to finishers. All infinite tonics would have infinite charges and all of those limited tonics would have charges based on how many you currently possess, purchase, receive as drops.
The player could open up the costume tab and then select the costume tonic that they would like to use. Tonics could be split into categories such as permanent, limited, combat, etc. Or, if feasible, split the tonics up further so you can choose a specific costume such as in the case of those infinite random ones (i.e. Halloween, mystery, the plant one). Everyone essentially toggles through them anyway to get the one that they want.
This could also open up the possibility of tonics being included in the gem store and as rewards. Although the generic costume tonics may not have a high demand, I’m quite sure that combat oriented tonics would. Who wouldn’t want to fight as a radioactive green skeleton for Halloween or as a snowman for Wintersday? If the combat animations would not awkward, I’m sure some players would love to fight as Quaggans.
Any thoughts, concerns, improvements to what I suggested?
