i just wondering about three things

1. first i know why they have you pay for the sever transfer to prevent switching sides in WvWvW and trying to build a community but why does it cost so much? especially someone low on money

2. what really the point of the sever transfer anyway since beside when you move to a different continent the walls a pretty much down

3. if i am moving to Sweden which sever should i transfer to

don’t feel hated on. Some of us happen to be preparing for the 4th of July while others just don’t know the answer to your question. I don’t know the answer to your question so I won’t reply to it, but i can reply to your second question, which is why won’t anyone help you.

1. They don’t charge more for people with less money. Also you can delete all your characters and transfer for free.

2. The only real point of sever transfer is for WvW or if you move from Europe to NA or vice versa.

3. Piken Square is the unofficial EU RP server and I have heard good things about it.

I transferred for WvW reasons. I wanted to explore the entire map, my server and my play time could not arrange for Stone Mist keep in Eternal Battlegrounds to be in our control and so I migrated. It’s only for a week though. I saved my gold, bought a migration, I’ve already got enough gold to pay for my way back and rejoin my guild and friends.

I live in Sweden, I recommend you join Far Shiverpeaks, they have been a really great bunch of people to me on my “vacation” away from my home server. If you don’t want to pay 1000 gems for this, come to our server at Whiteside Ridge.

1. I think it costs so much partially because it’s a relatively demanding process, I’m no expert but as I understand it moving your account from one server to another takes up a lot of bandwidth so they need to cover the costs.

But I also think it’s another way of deterring people from doing it too often. It’s a service they’ve offered because they know sometimes you need it, but at the same time they don’t want people skipping servers for the hell of it (both because of the practical real-world issues and problems with things like WvW). So they’ve tried to set a price that’s most people could afford if they need it but high enough that you’re unlikely to do it on impulse.

2. I don’t understand this question.

3. Well that depends on a lot of different factors. If you’re already on an EU server you probably don’t need to move at all. They’re all in one datacentre (physical location) so you won’t get a better/worse connection and there’s relatively little different in peak times on EU servers as far as I know. If you’re on an NA server and want to transfer for that reason then it depends on what you’re looking for on your new server. Do you want one where most people speak Swedish (I’m not sure this is an option), English or another language? Do you want one with an active RP community? Doing well at WvW? Highly populated PvE areas?
