This ‘Feature Patch’ is quite deserving of it.

Granted it is mainly changes to the core of the game, it is fantastic to see the things the players have been after getting implemented.

Though I will admit it would be nice to get these things as soon as they’re done, instead of being saved up for one big mega overload brain aneurysm patch.

One of the things that bugged me for the longest time was the silence and lack of communication on these very issues that are being implemented, here we all were thinking “great, our concerns are being ignored” and now it turns out they weren’t. Communication between staff and player has generally improved in the last few months which is great to see, WvW is still rather quiet though.

More communication on what is being worked on will stem the negativity born from neglect (feeling like nothing is being done), and the brainstorming the players can generate from an early stage of development may improve the end result.

Playing alternate characters has realistically been dead for the last 10 months, I’m absolutely thankful for these changes to make the game alt friendly again like it was closer to release.

I know I’m not alone in this, but when it comes to customizing my characters, I spend hours getting them just right, one of my warriors armour sets took me 5 months to finally decide on the perfect mix and match set. I’m going to have a tonne of fun with the skin locker.

This patch is going to be fantastic, and I’m loving all the changes so far, well, not pushing traits back to level 30/60/80, that’s a bad idea, but won’t affect me.

Now that many of the core issues have been fixed, I now have hope that there is still a future for:

- Weapon dyes
- Guild Halls
- WvW/sPvP meta balancing (separate to pve)
- Everything else WvW desperately needs
- New zones
- New content for parties (dungeons, instances)
- More individual skill, less zerging

TLDR. Thank you. Take my money.

ALL IS VAIN.
PvP modes are the “endgame” in every MMO.
Stop failing at PvE, start fixing PvP/WvW. Thank you.

I totally agree!! Some of these changes are awesome and really looking forward to them. I also agree that some new content (maps, dungeons etc.) would be awesome. So far we’ve only explored a small portion of the world, and opening up more will be a much needed relief.
