Solitaire has no endgame
You can make as many sarcastic threads as you want. People will never get it.
Its the only game allowed in the office? Lol
Yet is is the (or at least, at one point) most played game in existence.
It has no gear treadmill and no 25 man raids. No matter how many times you finish, you can never afford fancier looking armor, the reward is not worth the effort at all. Why do people still play this game? It has a terrible drop rate, you NEVER get anything good from it.
Nice to see some guys not level 80 yet.

Nice unfounded ad hom, bro.
even though this a troll thread i’ll dignify it with a response.
totally different types of games dude.
why is dota and LoL so popular with no endgame? because these are single matches that can played in less than an hour.
In an MMO you are living a fantasy life, usually that of an adventurer. You need goals in any life man, real life included.
If someone in real life told you they have 0 goals, 0 plans for their future, 0 ambitions what would you say? it’s the same in a fantasy life. You need a goal, you need a plan for what you are gonna do in the future, you need ambitions.

I can do a LOT of stuff in GW2 in less than an hour.
p.s
All these idiot’s crying about endgame content are just braindead zombies that’s been stuck on random kitteny mmo’s for too long with pointless end game grinding, leave them be.

Except that 98% of players don’t actually live a fantasy life, they just want to be stronger in the game to show off and boost their bruised egos.

Uh…what? So we are supposed to work and do the most annoying things in life again in the game to “enjoy” a game that is supposed to be entertainment? Well, hello? This is a game, it exists in your life for the purpose of entertainment, not for you to sacrifice yourself hoping to find another source of fun inside of the game for entertainment.

They have no endgame, because people play them because the gameplay is fun, not because they wish to do what is the equivalent of virtual stamp collecting.
You can also play GW2 in less then an hour, there are no 4 hour raids in GW2, the equivalent bit of LoL or DOTA – the structured PvP, takes far less time.

it’s not about how much you can do in an hour.
didn’t think i’d get such a stupid response so quickly. a LoL match from start to finish is over an in hour.
What did you do in an hour in GW2? farm 2 gold, lol. You won’t start to finish a character in GW2 in under an hour. chances are you play a single character for 200 hours or more.
you are probably not even 80. Don’t get me wrong I LOVED absolutely LOVED the game while i was levelling up and finishing the map. I have over 290 hours played on my main character.

So is this the new go to argument from people who thought GW2 was WoW2?

Then make a new character?

Yeah, there’s quite a lot of us that thought the game would be something more than “game of the week”. Get level 80, get full exo, nothing to do? Move on.
“So is this the new go to argument from people who thought GW2 was WoW2?”
lol no, it means you are probably at where we were a while ago. We said the same thing back then.
“Then make a new character?”
believe it or not, some people don’t see it as a new experience just because they have 5 – 10 different skills that virtually do the same thing (help you kill your target)

Seems you would have done some research and learned that GW2 was never intended to be a race of who can get the BIS gear fastest.

we never said we played it that way did we? i mucked around with jumping puzzles and did every event i came across, did every dungeon, spent time in divinites reach just chatting with people.
what we want are rewarding experiences in GW2 that we can tell tales of to our friends. Ones that are actually a feat and feel like we’ve accomplished something. (other than creating the legendary, while a fun objective to work towards is quite a huge task and is rather more tedious farming of ordinary stuff than epic encounters)
we never said we played it that way did we?
The guy I was responding to said…
- Get to 80
- Get exotics
- Quit
How is that not someone just looking for a race for BiS?

The game has been out for 20 days. If you played 290 hours on a single character, it means you were playing for 15h eVeryday since then. Nothing doesn’t get old after an overdose like that. You can keep looking, you will never find a game that pleases you forever, especially with such terrible habits.

You wear armour to play Solitaire???
