But don`t you understand that condis right now are in really good spot whole pvp, roaming www is focused on condis and we dont need any other auto-ticking condi because right know condis are melting zerkers as hell. we need true active gameplay condi , not some crap auto-ticking and self spreading . can you imagine that op dmg on www from necro using epidemic ? they spread it over 5 ppl and these 5 ppl keep spreading it over and over . I think Anet has more important things to improve then changing condi sytem just for 1 condi .

No, VOLTCIEAGE, I don’t understand how adding another condition would ruin your current condi-build setup all that much. I would also ask you not to call my idea’s crap, as you would not want me to call yours that.
I’m all for active gameplay and anything that supports it. That is a large part of what I’m trying to push for. You have a different view on what would happen if the disease I’m suggesting is implemented than I do. I believe it would force people to be more active, aware, and in the moment.
I’ll also not argue that ArenaNet has a list of things they should be working on. But why exactly should that stop me or others from making suggestions?

so just go to www/pvp thread and tell people there “hey guys I wanna add another auto-ticking condi , did i meansion that this condi will last 3 min ? No ? it would .”They will melt you with their words , condi like that will be nail to the coffin for pvp, having 32 chars for pvp to avoid same race , if they add condi it should be condi like confusion or torment but anyway right now condis are in good position . We need improvment to combo fields , every class should have a least few and more blasters+leaps etc . it would improve active gameplay on pve,pvp and www . 2 good fighters would be able to fight against 5 ppl using each others fields etc . that would improve active gameplay right now on pve only eles blasts fire before boss fight , on www water+air , and pvp water we need better combo fields .

oh btw i forget about low lvl players , are they gona level in other zones like chars go to caledon to avoid party with same race leveling their new chars ?

I have to agree that conditions do need a rework before adding in another. However, in the case of WvW and PvP, I was of the impression that Disease would be a PvE boss/Dungeon boss mechanic. I just can’t see it working well without The Black Death spreading across the land. There were at least 3 conditions already added since launch, and no one was ever crying OP about them. Granted they were limited to fractals(Agony, chill/blizzard, the hammer) I think giving this kind of power to players would be disasterous at best. But I do like the idea of it in general.

Where are you getting your 3 minute figure from?

…and why do you believe that the disease condition that I’m suggesting would be so scary, so overpowered, that the races would want to avoid eachother?

Do you avoid fighting mobs and bosses for fear of getting a condition? Are they so very scary to you?

Hmmm…

Maybe that’s where he got it from then. Just wish people would fully read a thread before calling someone’s ideas “crap” and throwing it aside like that.

I realy do like the idea, i do remember this condition al those years ago on my necro. I build my team out of different races horseguy vekk and oggie in the 3 hero time ^^. And i don’t see any probelem, yea you can afflict eachother as one race. But it can be cleansed in major cities it would be hard to afflict each other just bij the fact that if you need a skill that does a self inflict condition skill. And that can be avoided with the creation of this condition. Same goed with exporible areas as long that ther isn’t a self inflicted skill you can’t disease each other. It becomes a differant story iff mobs start purging this condition.

What if spreading isn’t based on race, but on proximity. Closer the other player is, greater the damage from condition he suffers (or number of stacks, or duration).
