Almost 3 years of playing and tons of these guys reported and blocked. I’d like a bounty for this!

I think there needs to be an achievement and Title at least…

This is probably one of the worst ideas I’ve seen show up in a while.

(Returns one copper to flesh, to continue to do nice things).

But how would they track this? What about false reports? What about reports on the same gold seller multiple times? Ontop of that, If you got a title because a certain number of gold sellers received a ban, wouldn’t that be against A-nets normal terms of NOT informing you on the result of your reports?

It’s great to report/block them, but I think doing the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing is the best reward here. (though giving us a bit of karma would be kinda funny)

If you put in a reward for reporting people you just encourage frivolous reports.

Not really. You can be banned for frivolous reports. The gold sellers are quite obvious. I like the idea of Karma too!

I’m sure every time you report it is tracked, and there is an investigation. Easy to track.

Well, I do hope you are kidding. I’ve never sold gold and my records will show that. If you however have filed a frivolous claim, you may be in a bit of trouble.

Hmmm. How about for every 1,000 legitimate reports sent in, you get a chest mailed to you allowing you to select the precursor of your choice?

I’m sure every time you report it is tracked, and there is an investigation. Easy to track.

However when you put some sort of reward on an activity, especially a gold reward since you said bounty, that means the clueless among us (who are many) will think that just reporting will work. These reports will be tying up Supports time to look into to rule out incorrect ones and then to punish those who are making the false reports.

And yes, the above previous post was a joke (I thought it was rather obvious since I said I needed it for the title but I removed the post since not everyone could tell it wasn’t serious), but it was illustrating a point that people will report to get points toward the bounty.

Support only needs one report to investigate and to terminate the gold selling account. The extra reports don’t actually do anything.

Clueless and not know about the title? Semi-clueless and see the warning? Lol.

Have you spent much time over in Account Issues? Even if not, the reports of ‘I got this mail saying my account will be terminated. It says it was not sent by anyone on the ArenaNet Team, but….I gave them all my information, anyway’ show up all over the forums.

Hopefully, never happen.

^^; Actually I usually report first, then check the user ID. If it’s something like jlnbsjlkdenbkesagbnkjl or bjhkgsgbnjlkse or even ignosbnls then I block, if it looks like a compromised account I block it, and add a note to remove it from block in a few days.
