Hi there
Random Nodes were introduced so players were not able to put a character near a node “Rich Oricalcum” and just hop on that character and farm them easily.
Before Megaservers, every map had their own random rotation.
This was great, as there was a website that told players where they could find their nodes.
Now my suggestion:
As PvE is one Big Megaserver, plz make nodes static for every map! Do keep the random node spawns, but only change them at reset.
This would result in:
- Random Node locations every day
- Every map having the same Node Locations for that day.
Gathering nodes would still be the same, player is only allowed to farm that node “Once” a day, no matter if he goes to different version of the same maps.

Bots will definitely like this suggestion.
Not a bad idea, though I don’t think it’s really warranted. Finding the nodes isn’t too difficult as it is, and if you know where a node is in one version of the map, you’ve probably harvested it already, so it doesn’t really matter if it’s somewhere else in another instance.
It took me a good while to narrow down the locations where T6 nodes typically spawn, but once you do that, you can find them pretty quickly.
Once a day? Uncalled for nerf.
In my opinion I see no reason why not.
It’s Old Server Node System + Megaserver = best of both?
There’s a very easy way to find nodes: gw2nodes.com
You use the ip address of your map and players update the site with node locations.

Which proves the randomness is no deterrence to bots and that knowing where to go is something many people want.
This is a reasonable suggestion.
Personally i miss them. Before Megaservers i used to visit the Rich Nodes Which had a (semi) fixed location.
