Well, I got 10 more Lunatic Inquisitions to “play” to get 80 games played and max out the gains. So 2 more hours when I get home…

Now let’s get “you don’t have to do it!” out of the way and say me, and a lot fo my friends, random people I met in the mini-game want to do it. Why? I do not know, it gives me a sense of completion. But it is extremely frustrating and boring to do (note: not challenging, hard – frustrating), and that comes from 2 sources:

- No one did calculations at Anet how much times this takes
- The game itself is unfun in the long run

I want to adress these, so:

Suggestion 1 – Do calculations if the thing is feasable

- Calculate average gameplay 13 minutes to 8 minutes – thus average is 10,5 minutes + reset time and new round starting 11,5 mins total
- Calculate overall time needed for maxing – 920 minutes aka. 15,3 hours, and that’s pure time spent in Lunatic inquis
- Calculate hours needed / days of event (15,3 / 14 ) ~1.1 hours daily

That seems feasable right? Right, if you do it puposefully from day 1, can log in every day, and you really want to dedicate 66 minutes from your playtime to play lunatic inquis.

The problems were that 80 rounds is just plain too much. And why is it 80? Cause it was a copy paste from last year, not considering last year was 4 weeks long.

Just think about it for 5 mins next year please. Reduce it to 40 games or so, and half the ‘rewards’ as well.

Suggestion 2 – Make the game actually fun

Even 80 rounds wouldn’t be too bad, if the game itself was actually fun, But it’s not. I mean, the last 50 games I have spent tagging peopel and watching videos after until the round ends. And it’s not just me, if you ask on mapchat, you will get like 5-6 responses, that 1 guy is making dinner, 2 are watchinh walking dead, 1 is browsing the web, and the rest are playing hand-held consoles while waiting for the round to finally end. Those are signs that the game is not really too good. Also people (villagers) are rushing to the middle in the first minutes to die as quick as possible to get it over with (sadly only ends on 5 mins remaining, even with no villagers)

What can be done about this?

- Reduce overall playtime from 13 mins to like 8
- Speed up both villagers and ghosts by 50% to make it a fast paced tag game instead of hide and seek and spam invis in the corner for 13 mins
- Balance it – ghosts are way overpowered cause of the mad king says skills – coordination required instead of spam would be much better
- Play with friends
- Up rewards – compared to Labyrinth, or anything else in game. the rewards for each round is horrible – you even get the “Splendid chest” daily – why?

Bonus suggestion – communicate with people

Go in-game and ask the people what they are doign and why. At least you can get to know what cool new series are out (cause they are watching that instead of playing the mini-game) like Rick and Morty (recommended). Or ask people on the forums/do polls on how much they enjoy activities / mini-games (or other stuff). Not just look at Metrics, cause that’s gonna show false positives.

Well that’s about this. Awaiting white knights to say it’s perfectly doable, fine, and most importantly, fun to do!

Well some people feel compelled to. Think about it this way – it’s free 50 achievement points. (Which is a lot)
If they didn’t do it, they would feel like they’re missing out. I guarantee you that no one would play this if it only offered 1 point every 5 matches.
