I have a simple suggestion. Since this hasn’t been released yet, I would like to suggest that Anet put in a special title for people who decide to purchase all colors for the new Commander tags. Maybe a title like “Rainbow Warrior” or “Pot ’o Gold”. Heck, throw in 100 Achievement Points while you’re at it.

Smooth Penguin does not know what a commander tag is good for. He only stands at TP all day

Come on now, I’m active in PvE and WvW. My Guild runs 10 to 15 tags when we do Guild Missions. I’m making a suggestion that would give some incentive to actually buying all Commander Tag colors. I’m sure there are many players who are willing to have access to all 5 colors.

It is pointless to run 10+ tag on guild mission

But it’s going to look pretty.

As if abusing tags for vanity isn’t enough, adding a title to the mix, ugh.

While you are at it, you should also add achievements for the time you have your tag up, both overall and in one session. Another awesome idea would be to an achievement for being one of x commanders on a map.

Back to business: The commander tag is an organisational tool and it should only be used as such. Adding any silly achievements for having tags or for tagging up a lot is just plain silly as it gives wrong incentives for people to buy commander tags or for tagging up.

While I completely agree with you here, I’ll state for the record that it will happen regardless. Why? Because adding an achievement for it will draw the AP hunters into doing it, into PAYING for it. Its ugly business but its what we have.

Anet already gives titles and AP for spending Gold in game. The Emperor title is purely a cost one for buying all tiers of Cultural Armor. You could even say the Fashion Collector is a cost title too. Beyond spending 1,500 Gold for all colors of the new Commander Tag, adding at least a title won’t hurt anyone.
