[Suggestion] not autodeploy glider on holding
You only start gliding when you start falling down of your jump, so you dont lose any height because of gliding.
If they did this an option in the settings menu, fine, whatever. But don’t make it default for everyone else. Specially in Gorseval, glider auto-deployment while holding the jump key has been extremely useful, and a lot of other situations outside Gorse.
In this game holding the jump key doesn’t make you jump higher, so you just need to get accustomed to it.
On the other hand, it would be really awesome if Anet decide to add some kind of “shorter hop” to the game. In this case, of course the auto deply should be adressed.
But I doubt it will ever happen.
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

In most games, you long press jump to jump full height, and tap jump to do a shorter hop.
Most games, not GW2 though.
In this one, holding jump causes you to miss your jump because your glider opens and you overshoot. Please add an option to fix this. Thanks.
Solution: don’t keep the jump button pressed.
I guess they could add an option for toggle to the options menu. Then again, there are so many things that need more addressing than this…

I’m certainly not asking for it to be default. But it does need to be an option, like inverting Y axis is an option, like keybinds are options. Could the game work without these options? I’m certainly physically capable of getting used to reaching to press F1 for class skills, but if the option to change it weren’t there, I’d have uninstalled in September 2012.
