Superior Sigil of Water
I’m actually curious myself. Some explanations are really not clear, what does the wiki say?
I’d like to think it would expand on what it does but in my experience it usually just explains what you already know.
The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”

from what i can unravel, it seems the 30% chance of heal might happen on crits only.
then " Sigil’s chance stacks like 30% + 30% of 70% = 51% chance to trigger the effect."
and “seems to heal about 370ish at level 80(no +healing traits).”
and as for range “the animation is a splash centered around you”
so it heals you as well as allies within that spash zone, stacks and procs on crit.
i’m not 100% certain on any of this but hope it helps.
I have yet to see this thing go off, Either its at the enemy, or is it at the player (the AOE field) how many targets does it affect, how much does it heal, does it stack with +healing?
Questions like this often are best answered by going to the mists and equipping. you can test ‘em out for free. There’s golems that don’t strike back and targets that do to choose from, aoe and single.
Other things to ascertain — does it only work on abilites using that particular weapon, or also the other-hand? (there’s examples of each n the sigil world) Does it proc from utility?
I haven’t personally tested that one. Never trust a tooltip.
Thanks Mimizu. As for the triggering factors, I’d expect them to say “on critical hits” if it were for crits though. I’ve tried using it in spvp to test it but I’m with tigirius because I haven’t seen it proc in three games.
Just a sidenote: I was testing sigils that have effects on the end of weapon swaps on my elementalist, and they do not stack. Both sigils seem to not work.

It seems that the sigils activate only on a crit from a specific weapon – so in a double-weapon setup, first 3 skills can trigger sigil on a main hand weapon, while the second sigil is triggered by 4th and 5th skill.
Observation in my case seems to agree with that – i almost never trigger offhand sigils.

Out of curiosity, how did you manage to do that? Eles don’t have weapon swap option… (sigils don’t trigger on manual eq change at all, as far as i’m aware)

In-combat attunement change
My experiences with water on my necro in actual fights (cuz mists is horrible to test healing)
My necro is a bunker running staff w/ wells (ie. combo fields for everyone!). Anyway, because necro’s have so many ‘attacks’ being counted (conditions, well pulses, etc) the sigil proc’s pretty much every time it comes off cooldown. Also, my necro has pretty much nada on chance to crit, so I’m skeptical about the claims its only on crits.
The heal is pretty meh, but given that it’s part of a build that is all about lots of little heals happening all the time, I’m okay with that.
But here’s my body – So rez me maybe?
I’m even more confused because the in-game description for MAJOR sigil of water is identical to the superior sigil: 30% chance.
