At first I was pleasantly surprised to find this survey in my inbox, and then baffled to realize it was entirely about the One Time Event, and didn’t mention Ascended armor at all.

I used the Other spaces to make my opinion known. This is a pretty good way to get your voice out.

Well, it’s a start. I also had wished for more options to give them an opinion about the technical issues (not only regarding the event) and the list of bugs that keeps piling up and also about the patch. But it’s still a start.

What I’d like to see are the results of the survey in a few days. I really hope that they’ll have the guts to publish them.

With a little luck, people will show common sense and vote against one-time mayor events within a short time.

It’s way better to let people do things at their own pace that forcing them to schedule around a game, just to end up lagging like crazy because of the increased affluence of players.

Even if they can only be done once by players, things should have at least a week so people spread in time, and everyone has a better shot at doing it.

Strange no email must be a one time event for people on PST.

Nope they did a survey so they can manage the fall out in the most efficient way to minimise the corprate impact.

They managed part 1/2 for me. A “we are sorry” would be part 2/2 and they’ll unlock the achievement “Player back in the game”

I really appreciate this survey and hope they take to heart what myself and I am sure many others had to say about this event.

This makes me really, really sad.

I’ve always wanted a game with one-time events that I can actually miss, that make me feel like I’m shaping the world, and have IMPACT because they don’t repeat every three hours for a full day or two.

And now, with this survey… well, it’s safe to assume that the people taking it will tell ArenaNet that they HATE HATE HATE one time events!

Why can’t the players who want a good game have nice things? Instead, the incredibly vocal group of players who hate anything that doesn’t get them the prime loot is going to be coddled. Again. And the players who want a game with unique events will be completely screwed, as always.

Maybe the next MMO will have them.

they shouldn’t need real statistics to know the event weekend was a massive failure on many, many levels.

That being said it should open their eyes up to focus on the real problems with this game instead of just pushing junk out there, all the junk does is cause people to leave and hate on the game more – and the hate is fully warranted over this past weekend from the start to finish, from every little sub quest to the final battle. Every single thing was broken at some point.

The dungeon is the ONLY good thing to come out of it and that has a SERIOUS amount of work still needed to fix all those bugs in there.

Really instead of someone reading the first 100 survey’s they should just tell them to go fix something broken and get back to patching the issues of the game – oh and give us back the patch notes. Players want to know when things are fixed it looks good when you tell us that.

I enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun, and I got a 20 slot box!

All we can do is vote and let them know a good number of us DID enjoy the one time event. It being a one time thing makes it that much more charming.

I’m sure I would also enjoy 1 time events if I didn’t have to take a day off of work losing several hundred dollars and while at the same time missing out on epic looting ranging from 10-300 gold in value.

Thanks for the link. I gave them a piece of my mind with some very ‘strongly disagree’ check marks in the fun department.

One time events cannot be done. Not only does it alienate players from different time zones. But you have every one trying to login the same zone at the same time. Of course there’s going to be problems. Who ever on the Anet team thought this was a good idea clearly wasn’t thinking or has never played an MMO before.

If Anet wants guild wars 2 to do well. No more one time events. Make them 24 hours at least.

i think it is safe to say that this survey is a new One-Time Event! don’t miss out!

it took me 5 minutes to take. i tried to be as nice as possible.

I believe that most of the people that enjoyed the event are Americans or living in the “correct” time zone.

As an Singaporean player, I was asleep as I have to work on Mondays.

I basically used it as a way of communicating that I’ve stopped playing. I suggest you liberally use the “Other” field, as it’s obvious they don’t want to hear about the Ascendent gear unless you force them to.

I very much hope everyone takes just a couple minutes to complete the survey. It’s only through this kind of polling, not just reading the forums, that the developers can get an accurate sense of what the players are thinking, and how many of them are thinking it.
