Tequatl - nerf(pets/consumables)- I love it!
We have managed to kill Teq post-patch with the consumable nerf with a perfect defense – it’s certainly possible at non-reset times !
With more practice this will become easier as people learn what skills to bring to the fight (DPS Zerg) to improve the overall DPS sustained rate. As people learn that zerker armor is probably not the best (Teq is a structure and crit hits cannot be landed) – PVT armor will become the norm to achieve a high level of consistent sustained DPS without dying.
This is now placing more reliance on killing fingers, good turrert operaters (East) to ensure buffs are given to the DPS Zerg at the right time.
So… Tequatl is still a DPS race then?
It would be nice if the timer expired when you logged out though.
It seems odd logging in the next day and still have the 30 minute debuff on you.
Except it was implemented for the entire game, including the areas that those summons weren’t harming anyone with performance issues.
1 specific field of the game wasn’t handling it well therefor take the classic quick and lazy fix of nerfing the item for all areas.

This is pretty funny. Could it really be true that Anet nerfed a summon across the entire game to address an encounter that very few do very rarely. I have to agree with previous post, though the behavior is outrageous by any measure, it sounds pretty typical.
Doesn’t change anything. It’s still easy as hell to kill on my server. And we still use the embers. We just split who does it at each burn phase. We never come close to running out of time.
