I know there is quite a few posts about the broken event. I’m just gonna add to the chaos. I am so dissapointed in ANET. They haven’t given us any events this year! And the one event they do ( which is only a few days ) Is so broken. I wasted my whole morning playing to find out I got nothing for loot. From what I hear the people who did get loot only got 5?? Really ANET?? for a short event and the prices of the items you can buy that is absolutely ludacris! Not worth the “grind”. I see they adressed someone’s post on reddit, and said they knew of the problem and kind of joked about it. If this is how they are going to run things, I am definitley not forking over money for the expansion. I know people make mistakes and they fix them but c’mon ANET, you’ve done nothing this year for “content” which is what this game thrived off of. I’ve been playing this game for over 2 years, and honestly at this point my thread is about to snap.

It’s a bug, relax. I’m sure you’ve wasted half an hour on your life on worse than this. There’ll probably be a compensation email. I get that it’s frustrating. I’m frustrated too. The difference is, I know it will be fixed.

This isn’t something personal that was done to you. This is what happens sometimes in big complex programs. Sure it sucks. I’m sure the people at Anet aren’t standing their rubbing their hands together like Riff Raff from Underdog.

It’s a mistake. It’ll get fixed.

But when mistakes happen on an event that’s only running for four days, and when some of the rewards litereally, not figuratively, require you to be running that event every hour of each of those four days, then I’d hardly call it drama queening.

Well you’d probably be right if we knew the rewards that people did get were the right amount, but I’m guessing they’re not.

Yes Vayne we are guessing, but it is based on what we have observed where as your guessing is purely conjecture and hopefulness.

Even if there were no bugs the event is a complete copy paste idea of the scarlet invasion. It is the same event (with maybe a 1% alteration into 3 variants, one with catapults, one with shield generators, and one with bombs) for half an hour. Over and over and over again. Most fun I’ve ever had.

I love all the people who say " mistakes happen" “chill out”. Yet all the other forums are blowing up with rage, I now remember why I never post on the forums. After playing this game for as long as I have, and seeing how many “mistakes” ANET has made i’m going to point it out. If you are going to market yourself on certain things then you should follow through. However they haven’t.

We’re going by what information is known, not what might be should be could be.
It’s known that when the rewards are actually issued, it’s 5 blooms.

Ugh… could we possibly go one day without people crying about being “slapped” by Arenanet? It’s really stupid hyperbole which only makes people sound like entitled drama queens. It’ fine to be disappointed and upset, let’s just start expressing these feelings in constructive ways before we skip to throwing tantrums -_-

I tried it once more after Brisban Wildlands fiasco and the results in Kessex Hills was the same. No reward. Thank you for waste of my time. I’m done with it.

Anet is aware of the issue, it will get fixed sooner or later. Overreact much? Its just a short term zergy little event where you run around spamming auto attack…. thats nothing new in this game…. why even bother doing more of this same rehashed content? oh for the amazing loot… right…

I quit the game for 2 years some time after launch and returned recently, just to see dungeon bugs exploited to great detail and called “meta”, PvP “farm” in an organized fashion and now this…

On one hand, the passive friendly GW2 kitten community is unable to process anything out of it’s comfort zone and turned the game into a SJW happy people stock photo and on the other, ANET employs disastrous developers. Seeing the Shatterer fight was a very, very sad experience.

Not even sure what to think of this all anymore, let’s see what the expansion does. Either way I’m greatly unimpressed.

I’m okay with it being bugged and me not getting any rewards for 2 events, but what’s absolutely kittening hilarious is that the mobs don’t even give exp.

Here I was thinking it could be a really cool event for all the new players, but it’s a colossal waste of time for everyone.

You said your thread is about to snap? I’m glad. It deserves to be snapped. Less ppl like you in this game would be amazing.

The events barely been released for a few hours and you are throwing a temper tantrum like a little child because anet didn’t give you the lollipop you oh so deserved for pressing autoattack…. grow up, have a bit of patience…they will fix it sooner or later. Go do something else. Is this all you had to look forward to today? a zergy little auto attack event against walking trees??

Scarlet’s invasions were more fun, dropped more loot/exp/karma, and were apparently better tested.

I see with all your comments on posts you are just as toxic as you impy I am. I see you like to do nothing but bash people’s posts. Eat your own words. And if you read I said I wasn’t throwing a tantrum. I never once implied that anet owes me anything. However when I pay for a game that is advertised for certain things I do expect for the devs to provide ( Like most gamers do ). LOL I love the official forums, so much DRAMA. Yeah I actively look at the gw2 subreddit and I never understood how that had more priority than the official forums xD
