Which is already true for a large amount of the armor we have received since launch in GW2.

Of course. I am just pointing out that people don’t seem to have an issue with it happening in GW1 but here it is apparently the worst thing ever.

To be fare, I don’t think people would have had an issue with it if it weren’t for the fact that it was a cheaper version of T3 light. The part were it stopped being race-exclusive was pulling at straws, at least for me. The sets were different, but just not different enough.
A good example that I like to think to in terms of the re-skins Eye of the North introduced would be the Ritualist Asuran armor and the Ritualist Seitung armor. both use identical models, but have very distinct textures. A player would have to have been an armor connoisseur in Guild Wars to have been able to tell that the Ritualist Asuran set was a reskin.
However, returning to my point, both the Ritualist Asuran and Ritualist Seitung armor sets had one thing that made it actually ok for them to share the same model. Their costs were both expensive, and in this case, Ritualist Asuran was even more difficult to acquire and was considered an Elite set. Ritualist Seitung was an expensive set only due to the fact that it required Monstrous Claw to craft, which was a very rare material to aquire. Ritualist Asuran, however, required a player to level their ranking within Asuran society, and also pay the Elite price for the armor set. Both required a heavy investment to obtain. Flamekissed and Human tier 3 light were not in the same boat.
Flamekissed armor was a much cheaper, and debatably better looking, set. If I remember correctly, the Gold to Gem conversion made it so Flamekissed was twice as cheaper than T3 Human light… which really isn’t fare considering the prestige T3 armor is supposed to have in this game.

You know, solid content, not fluff. Like new zones….

I think it’s the part we did get new zones. Queen’s gauntlet, blazzar of the 4 wind air ship, SAB…

I dont’ know why those have to temporary. Of course I know their be coming back some time in the future, I just don’t understand why those can’t be permanent.

It’s nice when we get to keep the say sprint mini game from bazaar of the 4 wind… but why can’t we keep the whole thing(area).

Problem isn’t really with the lack of content it’s the (in my opinion poor) implementation of new content:

1- Content gets removed from the and nobody can explain why convincingly
2- content stay in the game, like Southsun survival and the racing thing, but you can’t even play it with your friends or guild
3- I shouldn’t have to list more, but different rewards for different events instead of random loot would help

It’s a lot more then just implementation. I don’t think whoever runs the show over at anet for gw2 development see’s the game the way the majority of the players do. They see it as this massive community that works together on a constant basis to do these living story updates, but its so far from the truth its not even funny. There is such a lack of things to do in this game its horrendous, I would say for most people playing the game, they login to socialize with their guild members, not because there any anything new or exciting to do, or because there is any specific goal they are trying to achieve. It is the same thing over and over again, dungeons, fractals, guild events…occasionally and world boss. Grind grind grind for crafting materials which prices are through the roof.

The reason why this game will continue to lose players to other MMOs and fail to bring in new players is because of the lack of content and the lack of reward associated with basically anything in the game. The difference between crafting for cool stuff, and finding it in a chest after completing a very hard boss, is the sense of reward while having fun vs reward for doing work. Crafting is just that, its work. Just like IRL you go out and you do your grind at your job for cash money, you do that with crafting, where as when you get a drop in the game as a reward, its a much different experience. But again this is essentially the core issue that refuses to be addressed by anet, RNG doesn’t work in this game because there isnt enough content (items) to make it work. The game was designed around crafting and skinning with the gem store, which is a horrendous premise for a game for longevity.

An expansion worth of content – this was actually talking about the additions to the gem store. ANet put more new items in the store than other MMOs would do for an expansion.

that’s because its their ONLY source of income. so of course its the 1 thing that’s got the most. most items coming out of the Gemstore don’t add anything to the game, just something to keep us amused for a few mins.
