Okay, this is the first time I’ve ever made one of these threads, but I just can’t deal with this anymore. NO. JUST NO!
So I’ve been playing GW2 since first day of headstart. My /age is 800 hours up to this day. I’ve dedicated around 70% of my time to try to make a profit ingame so I can put together my Dreamer. I just want to shoot rainbows. That’s all I want to do. So I’ve finished everything I need for it, even the karma, and the only thing I need is money. (cause you need to buy your way to be legendary. that’s how it’s supposed to be, right? anyway…)
So from headstart up ‘till today I’ve made 90g. I’m no economy mastermind, but I put a lot of effort into making money ingame. I stay up late, to get in on opportunities while they’re still worth it. I flip items on the TP. I try to spend the least money possible (seriously, my main is still 5/6 exotic, not even talking about jewelary). I’ve messed my sleeping schedule up countless times just to get closer to completing the Dreamer (halloween for example). Oh and I’m still lacking the precursor.
Let’s look at somebody else. Person has around 300 hours /age. Hops on to play a one time event. Gets 200g from one drop from that one event. Yeh.
All hail the glorious RNG.
I’ve been in denial up until now. I kept telling myself that effort gets rewarded in GW2, that this game is different from other MMOs. That it follows in GW1’s footsteps. Eventhough I’ve been hearing countless complaints rising about how the game only rewards lucky people, I just said you have to play the game smart. Well… Guess I’ve been proven wrong. I’ve reached breaking point…
