Scroll down to the bottom and read the official response. They called this guy at home to log on and clarify a post on the forums that was causing some controversy. That is a level of dedication to customer experience that many companies cannot even come close to. ANET may not always execute flawlessly (who does?) but they continue to demonstrate that they respect their players.

I know some people don’t care about things like this but it is a welcome change from most games where developer interaction is either non-existent or outright condescending.

We share apocalyptic views, how comforting that we see it too.

This is actually more the norm for Anet employees. I have seen employees log in on their own time, and even while on vacation, to help a player with an issue with their account.
