Thoughts on the March 26th Patch
One thing they got right was adding laurels to PvP rewards. Thank freakin god they did that. A lot of the smaller changes were really nice additions to a fine looking game. That the new weapon skins are black lion chest rewards is pretty terrible though. Not only just the cash grab aspect of it… but it really paints a scary picture of how they will be moving. I mean… to even add new instances and not put them in as rewards is pretty messed up. Good patch to overall gameplay though.
After seeing how many builds in some many different classes this patch killed I think Guild Wars 2 is dead as soon as Elder Scrolls Online comes out. Arena Net Devs said they want to make classes have many viable builds but instead betrayed their own words and the players trust. Come on Arena Net I though this game was about letting the players play how they want! Its turning into a game that the Devs limit play styles.

Sounds like you want the game to die to Elder Scrolls funny thing most Elder Scrolls fans HATE the idea of it being online you just got mmorpgs fans jumping to the “next” thing.
Any way all builds are still viable in there own way and they are making less viable builds more viable that what they did in the last patch and the patch before that etc.. to just get up in arms because YOUR build was hit some dose not give you the right to wright off a game like GW2 or realty any mmorpg.

As I said in the Ranger forum bandgeekdp, if you want to stick ranged, use a trap build, since you can throw your traps with one of the skirmishing traits (meaning you can long-range traps).

Weapon Skins in Black Lion Chests
These are the first really good weapon skins since Halloween. And those Halloween skins were in the kittening BL chests too. Does Anet like kitten off their customers? This is just pure greed on Anet’s part.
I’m am willing to buy some of the weapon skins outright.
Okay I read the patch notes and the following is disturbing :
“Disconnecting from the game removes you from your roster before a match has started.”
But the most disturbing is this :
“Disconnecting gives kill credit to opponents.”
Why always punish people ? I thought this was a game…
What if people dont have a very good internet connection and they dc every now and then, huh ? Not everyone is malicious, and we certainly do not need to be punished like in primary school.
I know some force d/c to avoid being killed or whatever, but how about Anet disables the disconnect button while in combat ? Or if it’s still an issue, keep an account connected for like 15sec after the d/c if the malicious person killed the GW2 process.

Well that what ppl asked for F4 was bad for WvW. At the same time they removed dc from fractals a few patch ago so your line of logic dose not fit every thing they do.

I’m kittened because I couldn’t receive extra 10+1 laurels. I had done my sPvP monthly and daily before patch, and thus, were unable to complete them after patch and missed extra laurels.
I’ve numerous reports from guildmates receiving extra laurels after patch from completing their (sPvP) monthly. Ofcourse those of us who did it before patch have no other choise but come to cry here over spilled milk.

Having had a chance to play a bit, I’ve realized that they have made Orr more annoying than ever. The 1/28 patch was a step in the right direction in addressing mob density and the continuous major CC of the risen. The February patch introduced multiple champs and vets per event and was just plain silly. Now, with the March patch I see less champs, but vets now have continuous highly damaging attacks and continuous major CC has made a comeback. When skillful play is not an option, and the only option is to leave combat to stay alive, it doesn’t make for satisfying combat or a fun game. Get the challenge level down for open world PvE and then leave it alone—please.
The new time wrap is lame… before, seeing everyone within the field moving/attacking twice as fast vs now only 50% faster.
I would suggest to keep the quickness at 100% but reduce the damage done under quickness influence to say 75%, that would give the same outcome but the skill effect would be more visually appealing.

That would not fix the problem. You can still execute ppl at 100%+ speed giving no time to use any downed skills. Quickness was the one button win skill for both evens in pve and in wvw/spvp. They had to do something about the amount of speed it gave ppl or it would become the only boon that was worth using.

Please try 4 warrior and 1 mesmer in fractals even at < lvl 30 and tell me the results whether that is the optimal setup. For that matter, SE, TA, Arah. There isnt only one dungeon and this nerf added about 30s tops to a COF speed run.
In PvE open world events, not just warriors or the mesmer himself are happy with TW, it is a shared boon to help down megabosses faster.

It allowed player to make the most out of mobs down times when you dropped a shield making the fights a lot shorter and easier then intended too.

Err its only 10s of quickness with a 210 cd only if everyone is in the field and their HB or equivalent are not on CD.
I run a necro as well and this is just a blatant lie about condi builds not being able to benefit from TW. For one thing it will help you stack bleeds faster, maintain your bleeds longer as a consequence in the long run, use your scepter skill 3 faster for a bit of damage.
I didnt realize trash mobs were an issue in the first place or that mobs had downed time. In short bullkitten about trivializing content.
I get why the PVP community and some devs wants the nerf for balance in PVP. This must be the major reason of the nerf. No need to come up with lame excuses why quickness needed a nerf in PvE. If you want to use the logic that a skill will enable to win a fight easier and faster, it would apply to almost every skill in every classe’s toolkit.

First off agreed definition – mobs not equal to mini-bosses or bosses therefore trash mobs. No decent player uses their TW for mobs in general. Quickness util maybe just to make it a few seconds faster to kill a mob.
You dont need quickness to run past mobs. Thats swiftness.
As for bleeds ticking, it increases the number of stacks quickly on a boss if it isnt already maxed out. If I am not wrong, it will also help u push out ur teammates stacks if they have less condi damage. Also I haven’t mentioned the direct damage that comes with the condi damage. It is not much but still better than nothing.

When i say run pasted i mean to not deal with them during a boss fight sry for the confusion.
The idea about killing mobs faster is more on the lines for boss fights that have a need to drop there def and or shields. If your able to lay in dmg with things like TW 2 times faster then pts with out TW the fight will become comply different. It would be asking your self do i want to run with out TW for this fight and make is a lot easier or do i run it with out and make the fight that much harder?
Look at it this way for the argument of conduction dmg you could have some one putting 25 stack of bleeds cap poison and cap burning or you can have a war or any other crit build class out putting dmg that will not interfere with any one else in the pt. This is the general argument for crit builds vs conduction dmg builds.
