I’ve seen this issue before and as I recall they will take care of it for you.
they should just remove the limit on the bank slots.
and give us pages in our bank slots.
Customer Support has refunded the gems in every case before. I would imagine they would in your case, as well. Good luck. =)
Hold onto it. Bank slots will be expanded to a total of 14 soon instead of the current total of 8. You’ll be able to use it then.
I did the same thing, but I sent a ticket and they refunded me my gems back. Just explain to them what happened.
I wouldn’t hang onto it, you never know they might put them on sale when the cap is extended. Trying to get your gems back then to buy the slots more cheaply might take longer than the sale lasts.. hehe

Put in a ticket you will get your money back. I did the same thing months ago and they refunded my gems and I just threw away the item in my storage.
Sooooo you thought they added more pages just because the option to buy them still is in the gem store? O.O
The options has always been there, well since they added them to there, originally we had to buy them just by clicking on the extra tab thing in game.
My point is you should always wait to read any NEW patch notes before thinking new things like this are added.
Having said that, Anet are good with customer service for this sort of thing they will sort you out.
