when path of fire trailer came out . I made a post about this in regards to no high end system specs being listed at all just only the low end system specs for the game and path of fire came out . thus meaning when path of fire does come out next month .

their will be no SLI or cross fire support at all and no new UI in 4K at all when path of fire comes out next month . as well as their will be no upgrades to DX at all meaning no D12 for this game .when path of fire comes out next month !! and still no support for 1080TI cards or new Ryzen cpus .

and when I made a topic about this very real problem . well had to have it locked due to clear reasons of some uneducated posts . just to give you the replys I got on this

having said all that I still think path of fire will be good and when back and made a bit more lower end spec system that will meet the game specs but yet not over power them .when the game comes out next month . which I can not wait to see the new game and hope the team did its best to make it like but yet better than the first guild wars crystal desert

well, GW2 uses GW1 as a base game and even on 4K the UI is still big enough to read, it seems they downgraded the engine for some reason.

I’ve seen nothing to indicate that they are planning on doing anything with this but even if they are I assure you you will get no timeline from ArenaNet. Bumping a post every few days will not change that.

4K is getting cheaper all the time and streaming options are starting to become available.

ANET will have to address this eventually. Sucks that they always seem to be last one to get on the train though. Not a very good business strategy.

Pretty sure I heard the same complaints about VR support … it’s just not a high priority.

VR support is only asked for for about 1-2%, 4K becomes the new HD ready so you will see a steady growth of ppl asking for that.

I use a 4k UHD 40" TV and it’s ok. Not great, not good, just ok. Biggest issue I have is mini map size and text size even with all maxed out. Good Lord trying to see items to gather on the radar, have to zoom in most cases to check an area. Wouldn’t mind an option one bigger or even preferably just a sliding scale.

I’m on Mac, so even if I have a 4k screen the mac Client barely runs at a playable fps even in 1080p.

I have a 4K Mac too, and played on the Mac Beta client for a year. I finally installed Boot Camp and made a Windows 10 partition with GW2 on it … and I’ve never looked back. It runs INCREDIBLE at maximum everything in graphics settings. I tried the new Mac client and it just doesn’t compare.
