Are there any plans for these stats to be given a more decisive role? With all the builds being zerkers it would be nice to have some diversity. I’m not saying you can’t play with other builds, but they’re suboptimal(with dungeons being easy, any builds work, they’re just slower).

If Vitality reduced condition damage/duration on you and Toughness had a chance to fumble the opponent’s attack(to work like an opposite critical to his attacks made on you), I guess they would have a larger appeal to some more tankier builds.

The soft trinity isn’t equally represented and maybe a slight stat rework/rebalance would fix this. I’m not saying this is a solution, just a thought.

Do you guys have any similar suggestions/ideas?

It’s a huge, gross can of worms, OP.

Zerk will cry out that it’s about skill/dodge/active defense, etc. And they’re partially right.
Non-zerk will.. well, half will kew about the lameness that provokes a dungeon-zerk meta.
Others will point out that PvP has bunkers, so defensive stats are for PvP.
Someone will inevitably point to that cornercase Lupi video. Yawn.

Honestly, Toughness is the best defensive stat we have. It’s good, it works, it’s solid.
Vitality is.. meh. Soft counter to condition damage and burst. Multiplies in effectiveness with Toughness.
Healing Power is terrible and needs reconsideration. There’s a half-dozen threads that have investigated options.

Many alts; handle it!

Is this a typo? How many of of the meta sPvP builds are using a zerker amulet?

PvE world: Any, pref. Zerker/Sinister
PvE WB’s: Any, pref. Zerker
PvE support: Any, pref Zerker
Dungeons: Any, pref. Zerker
WvW-Melee: Semi Defensive (Cavaliers/(Valkyrie)/Soldiers/Knights with pref. Zerker)
WvW-Ranged: pref. Zerker
WvW-Support: Nomads/Clerics (with Zealot)
WvW-Roaming: Dire/Rabid, Celestial, Sinister or Zerker.
PvP: Celestial

Only places where in order of importance

  1. toughness
  2. healing
  3. Vitality
    are used, are locations where you expect HEAVY long duration presure from a lot of sources…
23 lvl 80’s, 9 times map, 4ele, 4ncr, 3war, 3grd, 3rgr, 2thf, 2msm, 1eng, 1 rev.
Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.
