Has there been talk on the option to replace sets of runes like in pvp without having to constantly buy new sets to destroy old sets, or have multiple sets of armors around?

I think it could be a nice option to support the trait refund system, not to mention every balance patch could heavily affect certain builds, forcing replacement of rune sets; on top of that it’s very difficult to have multiple ascended armor sets to just sport different runes…

Yes, discussed many times.
It is a good idea, lets see if ANet come up with a reasonable way to implement that, if at all.

nice idea but i think the prizes for runes and sigills would drop quite a bit then
unless you would have a window with rune charges for each rune specific
so if u buy 6runes of the scolar i can put this six times on my armour pieces and then i have no charges left

runes would still be tradeable
unless double klick to gain a rune of the scholar charge (eggsample)

it would also make it easier for players to find out all runes since thered be another bank tab in which u can read through all rune effects
and just right klick and choose buy more from trading post

that would be some nice quality of live changes that would also rise the prizes of runes / sigills

(in the hero panel only show the runes/sigills where u even have charges for ofc
simmilar to the skins it does only show you what you already have unlocked)
