Norn don’t move slower than any other character. This is perception. The bigger the character, the more pronounced the slowness illusion is. In reality, they are all equally fast.
While not addressing the pitiful state of the human facial decor, you can make a minimum size Norn, which is about as big as a beefy human, and will appear to run just as fast.

My Norn was a massive hammer wielding Guardian, so had to be big, (in my mind anyway). Already know that everyone moves the exact same speed, it’s just perception of the speed they move (Asura e.g).
I had absolutely no clue that making a smaller Norn would increase perception speed though, so thanks for that! Makes sense now that I think of it!
Beards—and scars—-and hair. I mean, if we want to create a character that looks like it seen life and been in battles why not?

You have some more hair options but no more beards with the 250gem kit from the gem store
I would love to have the option for a full, but trimmed beard for my human characters. We have stubble, goatee, and full, bushy. It’d be great to have a full beard as short as that mustache option over the entire jaw.

But yes, I agree, but not human only, I need more norn options. As someone said a trimmed full beard would be great. You know somewhere between stubble and the great big bushy beard.
i ones wanted to make a dwarf by taking a human, choose the most beefed up body and choose a long beard.
all i can make is a gnome with the choices we have, hardly the customization i expected from what Anet said to provide.
Male human faces are extremely disappointing in general. 90% of them look very young and handsome in a JRPG protagonist sort of way, and the rest are seriously ugly. I think there’s only one male human face I actually liked, and it’s a makeover kit exclusive.
The aforementioned 90% don’t look like they can grow a decent beard anyway. As for the rest, they need as much facial hair as possible to hide all the ugly.
Seriously though, more options are always welcome.

Human males definitely need more variety in facial hair. It’s also really odd that there are no simple goatees either (I mean chin only. No mustache).
I sure hope Heart of Thorns delivers more customization content besides hairstyles and faces (though more hairstyles and faces are always welcome). I’m talking about human facial hair, charr horns, asura ears, etc.
And heck, while we’re on the subject of beards, why not give sylvari males beards too! Anet could get really creative with the types of plant beards, like one could be mostly vines, while another could be more leafy. I mean, Heart of Thorns is supposed to be Sylvari oriented, right?
So, after playing for a while with my Norn, I decided that they move far too slowly for my liking and created a new human character.
I was absolutely shocked to discover only one full beard for humans? Where as Norns have 8 (unique) as well as the human one.
What’s the deal?
Obviously, we all imagine Norns to be bigger, meatier and hairier, but the human beards are just pathetic, there’s 4/5 different types of stubble!

Seriously man. The human beards & hair in the game are hilariously weak & the selection is just sad. Apparently the direction was “make as few masculine options as possible”.
Norn are allowed full beards because they are tall enough to not worry about gore chunks getting stuck in their facial hair.
No one wants to have to comb brain matter out of their beard.
