Mage classes in a world without magic aren’t. Of the rest… thieves are not exactly condoned by society (even if they can be profitable in the short term). Warriors (and magicless Guardians), as any profession centered around violence, aren’t safe.
That leaves a ranger, but i like cities, and i am not going to keep a grizzly bear in my apartment and a shark in my bathtub.

Sorry, what? How exactly would being a Mage be useless? Merely proving the existence of magic in the correct manner would make you famous and riches could be obtained in quick succession in a billion different ways. Think of the advances to science that could be made. Choosing a non magic class in a demonstratably non-magical world is silly.

you might think thats good in bed. but at any one time there can be 5 instances of you in GW if not more, now the bed room would be fun but imagine all that nagging, “is the house clean, did you get this?” imagine 5-6 pmsing clones, pregnant clones………moody clones……..ya not that fun….

Ranger. Versatile, travel light, jack of all trades, can heal people and cure diseases, one with nature. Plus with animal companions and spirits you’re never lonely, no matter where you are.

Unless real life goes all apocalyptic & Road Warriory…then Engineer for sure.

Mesmer, nothing beats making clones specially to avoid gf nagging.

I would be a mage type class, and i would choose necromancer. I could see myself having my own lair, experimenting and what-not. I wouldn’t necessarily be ‘evil’, i would be trying to raise the undead for science and research. I would also be an alchemist too, creating healing potions etc. Oh, and i would have an awesome robe.

id be warrior, super buff and have a big kitten sword? all the ladys swooning over me? plus heavy duty armor that let me survive another warrior? and a rifle shot that pierces throw ppl and insta kills them? having a mesmer friend to give me quickness for gaming faster than the game goes? AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

I´d probably be an engineer.
I mean common, who doesnt want to blow stuff up, throw grenades and literally melt the one guy´s face off who tried to hit you, because you were looking at him in a way he didnt like, with an acid bomb?
AAAAhhhhh…. but it wouldn´t be good for my reputation… for my fun sure, I´d laugh like a maniac if I could do the crazy things a gw2 engineer could do in real life but…. I´d see an asylum from inside mcuh sooner than preferred.

they last until their target is dead, which sound to be you so yeah until you are dead is how long they last :P

they last until their target is dead, which sound to be you so yeah until you are dead is how long they last :P

@SneakyErvin Death is sacred. Maybe not as much as in our past (ancient Egyptians), but we still bury dead animals and humans. Necromancy in most forms of fiction is regarded as a “dark art”. You actually think society would allow people to summon the dead? The smell alone would be a reason to outlaw it.

But there is a difference between Necro reanimated undead things and the Orrian type. There is a reason why necro minions look like they do, worms, scorpions, shades, rat things and golems. I’m sure there would be regulations, but if someones last will and testament would be to donate themselves to necromancy so be it.

I just dont see how it would be a crime or awful in any form. They wouldnt run around with random people of their own choice as minions, if they did it wouldnt be different than todays grave robbers or necrofiles.

And honestly, I think there are more things with the necromancer that would be far more appealing than the minions if I would be one IRL.

I think i would be an Anet Game Designer aka Condition Specced Necromancer, the most broken class in the game. In short because power builds will always have better loots drops because of more overall damage output and they do not have a limit on how much damage they can apply on a certain NPC (unlike Condition-Mancers who are limited to 25 stacks).

Yeah I’d be that and then pretend everything is fine and ignore suggestions from other players who are only trying to help.
