The most important thing imao,is total rewamp of gameplay,skills bar,weapons skills numbers and weapons customisation of each char.

You can add more and more stuff to do, its already boring to do something over and over with same skills/traits,and rarely change your gameplay style,because its useless.

When i open gw1 and see 300skills per char, and come back to gw2 with 30 skills, i want to cry…

Umm… pardon?

Guardian= 102 skills available
Warrior = 119 skills
Engineer = 124 skills
Ranger = 144
Thief = 110
Elementalist = 146
Mesmer = 89
Necromancer = 93

There are plenty of skills in the game, especially for the core game. You forget, that three-hundred skill deep pool was built up over three expansion campaigns, each class in GW1 only had about fifty skills available upon release of the core game.

What they really need to do is make it so people can switch their builds around without going to town and paying a fee, and revamp the trait system so that you don’t feel cheated out of the build you want because so many completely different build options occupy a single trait tree.

After leaving pre you had 200+ skills to play with once you unlock them, which was actually a journey. Elites didn’t suck too.

You know what the person you quoted was implying but let me spell it out for you. There was customization with skills in GW1.

I see no reason to defend this crap, wouldn’t you like to be able to customize your build?

I honestly don’t believe my thief has 100+ skills because it really feels like 20, at best.

Enviromental weapons skills buffs (rock, skull, unexploded mortar).
Totally expecting that in next patch, let the important stuff be dealt with first.

Anything, l don’t care just get people out and doing DE’s and events.

There’s more life in the Gobi desert than some of the maps.

Jumping puzzles, love them or hate them, I hate them. Thread killer.

That is including combos and situational skills, but even excluding those, each class has at least 80 selectable skills, still 20-30 more than vanilla GW1. And by the way, GW1 had plenty of elites that sucked on release, and dozens of skills that never found a use through the entire course of the game. Not to mention, GW2’s system can actually be balanced in PvP, it isn’t yet, but it can be. The closest GW1 ever became to balanced was a crack-build meta that needed constant adjustment.

The only place where this game isn’t considered highly customizable is in your head. Your character is more customizable in GW2 than any other MMO to date. Seriously, quit being blinded by nostalgia and you might just realize how amazing this game is.

- Short & Epic dungeons played with 20+ players
- More thing to do that requires guilds, e.g., GvG
- Guild halls
- Castles useable as a guild hall, located on the PvE map and obtained doing a weekly GvG battle.
- Capes and /or visible guild icons
- Visible titles

Expectation? None of the above. Probably we’ll see some new sPvP and WvW maps.

Champions Online says you’re just flat out wrong. Please don’t be making the mistake of thinking EQ, WoW, and SWTOR = all other MMOs.

I played champions, extensively in fact, it was a great game but I still stand by what I said. Yes it had more visual character customization, however I was talking about builds and mechanics, which it didn’t do as well nor in which did it allow as many customization options as GW2. Now quit trying to nitpick the discussion into going off-topic.

Talking builds and mechanics, CO still outdoes GW2. Superstats, powers, power enhancers, talents… all with minimal restrictions allowing you to combine essentially anything you want to combine. Sorry, you can say I’m nitpicking, but you counter someone’s post by saying GW2 allows you more customization than any other MMO ever, and I’m saying you’re wrong.

I don’t understand why people want more stuff added to a game that could go wrong when we still have 3 classes fighting each other over last place in this game. Where most classes have some of the most unorganized and poorly layed out trait trees with 50% or more of their skills being nearly 100% useless.

When engineers, rangers, and necros feel more like classes and less like mistakes I say we worry about adding things to this game.

When people do more than grind fractals all day for loot I say we worry about adding new things to this game.

When the crafting system has an actual reason to exist I say we worry about adding new things to this game.

For now, why don’t we try fixing the game…

But they’re shared between classes. So many customization options are shared between classes that you can make nearly the exact same character across every class. That is a huge blow to the customization in my opinion, good customization allows you to feel like an individual; bad customization, while it may have more options, makes everyone feel similar no matter what they choose. That’s why I think the only think we really need changed is the trait trees, GW2 skill and weapon choice makes you feel like an individual, GW2 trait choice makes you feel like everyone else.

And don’t get me started on the trinity, that alone… having cookie cutter roles people have to fulfill destroys any sense of individual playstyle. In any game where the trinity exists, you might as well only have three classes, because any customization you make will be limited to that point anyway.
