I see Tengu being playable in the future (they even have their own currently innaccesible city), but Kodan on the other hand, doesn’t seem as likely because character creation wouldn’t be able to make each player Kodan differentiable from others (all Kodan are WHITE Bears, you wouldn’t even customize their color, and a bear face doesn’t give much space to imagination). There is also the fact that making a race of bears playable, and balanced with a standard form Norn, would make Bear Form (transformation into humanoid bear aumenting your power) completly non-sense as it will give you very close physical atributes to Kodan, but it will make you more powerful.
I would love to see Largos and Tengu as playable race (already have a Bio for a Tengu Engineer “Crazybird” personality). If we can’t play Largos, at least let us wear their armor .
After hanging around and saving them a couple times, skritt have grown on me and I’d definitely like to play them. For the most part they seem like decent individuals but wound up not having anyone but themselves when they had to flee the destroyers. And with other races treating them like vermin, it’s no wonder they’re so hostile to outsiders. I’d also like to see more of examples of how their intelligence waxes and wanes depending on how many other skritt are around.
Quaggan are another race I’d like to play. I just love how they talk and how they’re just a roly-poly ball of blubber… who may just snap and turn into a ball of rage and hurt if you push it too far.
I’d also like to play an Elonian centaur. I prefer their design over the tyrian centaurs and I doubt tyrian centaurs will ever stop going to war with humans, and so I hope over the past 250 years maybe some elonian centaurs are willing to ally with non-centaurs. They’d be a pain to do jumping puzzles with, though :P
I would honestly like a centaur, but I appreciate that would cause a lot of problems in the animation and armour department so I wouldn’t expect it to be offered as a choice.
I’m not that much of an alt’o’holic to even make 1 of each of existing 5 races, but… I’d make a Tengu instantly!
Also, I’d play a Kodan over a Norn any day
