The more customers leave, the more Gems go up.

I’d like to see your reasoning on that instead of a flat, unsupported statement,

As far as I can see its the difference between the numbers that buy gems with gold as compared to the numbers that buy gems for gold that increases the price. As well as the increase in the ability to make gold which means not only do more people have gold to buy gems with but fewer want to buy gold.

Hmmm I see your point. You left, gems went up.
So here’s the thing then, if you come back.. will gems go back down?
No?

The only thing I can say with certainty is that the more gems go up, the more likely I am to spend rl cash on some again..

$20 for 3 bag slots cripples new players.
$10 for a single bank expansion cripples new players.

330g for 3 bag slots cripples new players.
161g for a bank slot cripples new players.

We don’t say crippled any more. We say {limb} disabled.
So can I check what you mean here.
Buying 3 bag slots renders you hand disabled?
Buying a bank slot renders you leg disabled?

I’m just wondering at what point do you end up so disabled that you can’t actually use your computer and is there a time-frame in which you return to normal after not being able to buy things?

Um…. take a look now….

People buying keys I bet. Some people are already reporting getting the contracts. One guy said he got 2 with 25 keys.

“For a limited time, all super rare Contract items in the Black Lion Chest have three times the chance to drop. Please note: they are still very rare.”

People have dreams of spending a few gold to get something worth 3-4K gold. It’s hard to resist that sort of thing even though logically the likelihood is you’ll spend the gold and only get boosters, some odds and ends and maybe a few ticket scraps.

There is the ascender hover thing too. I couldn’t resist something so daft.

Oh, yes. The same thing happens when the Powerball jackpot goes over $200 million and the like. That’s why the gem exchange is working as intended – JS and the rest of the devs know what they’re doing.

I resisted such foolishness…. for a good 10 seconds.

Ok, maybe it was 5 seconds, not 10. But I held out as long as I could.

I traded in Gold for Keys. Why not? I still have twice as much as I have had for the past 3 years. Got back about half what I spent in Gold (should I decide to sell). Haven’t used all my keys, yet…so, here’s hoping. =)
