Guild Wars 2

I don’t really care what kills GW2. For all I care it becomes really successful or falls apart next week.

Why don’t I care? Because I am only interested in whether it’s killed for me. And since I am getting closer and closer to that point where I want to quit with every new bit of information Anet are giving us on this new direction.

My guess is, that unless this weekend miraculously turns things around for me, I won’t be playing this game anymore next week. But that’s just my personal decision. No one has to feel the same, I just decide whether I like something or not and act accordingly.

What will truly kill GW2 is having them pander to the ppl on the forms. The sec they start to give ground on what they want to do with the game and start doing exactly what the crazy fest we have on these forms then the game will start to decline. Now this is different from taking some idea from the forms for small changes but if they do major changes due to these forms then you will see the games down fall.
If WoW went FTP it would just be an old game that has not ages well that has become FTP and still something you would have to spend a good 60-80 $ to even start playing in the first places.

If WoW went F2P (or even Buy 2 play like GW2) it would kill a lot of population in othr MMO’s…reason being…reagrdless of age of the game, leetist players, ugly graphics etc…the game has 7 years of content to give anyone joining as F2P/B2P Plenty of things to do for a long time.

I dont support WoW but this is what i would see happening if it did go F2P/B2P…

Thats why games like GW2 need to get their act together….

ALSO…go to the elder scrolls online site…look at the new video…game seems to have a lot of GW2 features in it…dynamic events…WvWvW etc etc and better combat with blocking etc….it looks like Zenimax is taking ideas from GW2 and making them work better… Its things like this that will hurt GW2 in the long run if the other company takes their ideas and does it right…

How many “main stream” mmo’s have been shut down? SWG, Matrix Online and CoH will be or is now.

I don’t know of any others. And I don’t mean little companies/titles like you see on ads for some romper room mmo. I am talking the big ones. UO and EQ1 are still around.

Also no new game is going to worry about GW2 and saying “GW2 killer” because GW2 isn’t even close to the ranks of a WoW. Elder Scrolls online people will compare it WoW more than GW2. GW2 is just another mmo that was hyped and failed like AoC, Tera, Aion, and Warhammer etc.

LOL! I never heard of that game. Was that supposed to be a big main stream mmo?

More and more focus on pvp. The pve crowd who pays for the extras are going to get fed up and leave the game.

GW2 definatly overhyped.

“THE PVP WILL CHANGE THE FACE OF MMO’S” everyone told me.

PVP is bloody awful. Targeting is terrible, the dodge mechanic is janky at best and class balance is a far way away.

It would of been nice if this game stayed in BETA until more was figured out specially in PVP.

Elder Scrolls plus the ideas Guild Wars 2 used to promote minus NcSoft sounds like a winner to me.

People used to say this game will tank like SWTOR because the devs aren’t listening and weren’t willing to make changes despite the forums’ outcry.

Now people are saying this game will tank because the devs are listening to the forum complainers too much and actually making daring changes.

Poor poor GW2. It never stood a chance against the neverending whine of the internet.

There’s no item progression in the Sims 2.

Your point is moot…

Read where it sais that sales from digital distribution places (like steam, battlenet and the many other thousands of places) are not included.

Also subscription figures (as in paying accounts) are not taken into the figure either.

Not a reliable list when it comes to total numbers…and numbers worth arguing about to validate your comment

Hm…but considering the fact that people who bought Gw1 bought the expansion packs accounts

every sale divided by number of expansions + original game = actual number of individuals

It’s like including all the Halo games into one and saying it outbeat Battfield 3.

It truly does look amazing and I only saw alpha footage, they’ve done a great job taking the life of the RPG world and putting it into an MMO and yes the combat is very similar to GW2. If even only for the lore I am definitely going to play it, I want to see black marsh so bad and I hope they put their own version of it into ESO.
