Today I was in Ebonhawke when I saw a herd of chickens. There is an achievement for killing such nasty creatures so I casually tossed my axe at them. They had damage numbers flash over their heads but they did not die. I threw my axe at them a few times, but since they did not die I decided to move on.

A few seconds later the herd of cackling death birds came charging down the hill at me. Threw the flurry of feathers I was able to discern that there were 6 birds. They all commenced attacking me. I attacked them with a renewed vigor fearing for my life. Sadly these chickens still did not take damage, and they were able to overwhelm me.

They slowly ate my still living flesh until I died.

Laughed when I read your post. You are not the first to assume chickens are harmless tasty creatures. Apparently you can defeat them, it just takes time. Someone in my guild made the mistake of AoEing the regular chickens and had a horde of these chaise them around.

This happened to my friend, and I laughed so much I could barely breathe. More funny was that the RPers in the area just stood there and stared at him running back and forth screaming for help, while a pack of angry chickens hunted after him.

I am glad that I am not the only person to be attacked by Angry Chickens. I was so surprised that I had no idea what to do.

This was one of the more amusing references I have come across in the game. I, too, ran around screaming with a ravening hoard of angry chickens chasing me. It’s much more amusing when you consider the character I was on was a massive charr warrior.

That settles it.

Haha! That’s priceless. I thought it was going to be a nod to Angry Birds, I never played Zelda.

From memory the spawn thing is hit one chicken and she spawns two more so hit 3 you get 9 attacking you and so on, all of them with Champion hitpoints and DPS to envy. I did it a few times, great fun but needs a group really.

As an update.

I told a friend about this, and he wanted to see these chickens. He ended up helping me kill the herd of chickens that tormented me so.
