When is gw2 expansion coming out? [Merged]
Some of us actually don’t like the Living World the way it currently is and see it as detrimental to the game.
I would pay for an expansion or campaign there are certain areas of this game that are getting pretty stale and I don’t think the LS will solve this.
Things that are getting stale
No new utility skills
No new weapons, or weapon skills
No new lands to explore
No new dungeons
No new professions
Factions was released one year after Prophecies, it provided a plethora of new skills, two new classes and a whole new continent with a distinctly different visual theme to explore.
I want to know that something like this is in the works and if it is not as a customer I am saying along with many others I am very interested in something like this.
I don’t see why people expect so much from Baby’s First MMO. It’s meant to be a simple, casual-friendly game that you get to play for free. All the extra stuff you’re asking for may have been possible to finance with a cash shop years ago but perhaps it’s no longer true in 2014.
They can’t win. Every time they put something in the gem shop, people cry, but how else are they supposed to pay for development?

They could, I don’t know, charge a box price for any expansions. But maybe I’m asking too much, not like Anet has ever done that before or anything.

This is not a sequel to GW1. It’s a game in its own right and the devs have decided to go with Living Story, and frankly most people shouldn’t be complaining because they don’t buy much, if anything, from the cash shop.

And I decided that I won’t do microtransactions in paid games because the prospect of all gaming becoming smartphone rubbish is not something I’m interested in, not to mention the stupid $/€ conversion (or more precisely, the lack of).
I’d be happy to preorder all their full price expansions though.

Nah, they’re too busy releasing rehashed living “content” zergfests.

I have a feeling you’ll be waiting a long time for those expansions.

Sad, but, so true.

And they’ll be waiting a long time for my money, I’m happy to play that huge PS2 backlog in the meantime.
