Guild Wars 2

The game is 3 weeks old and yet overrun by botters and gold spammer.
My block list has grown to unimaginable size, mailbox is constantly full of spam and in certain locations there are more bots than players.

Please ban botters and gold spammers already.

I have had the worst gaming experience in my life in Lineage2 and Aion because of bots everywhere and indifference of Ncsoft to this issue. I have reported gazillions of bots and NCsoft did nothing.

I have placed my hope in ArenaNet that the world of Guild Wars 2 will be free from this plague. And now this nightmare has come to Guild Wars 2.

I can not stand the bots.

They are absolutely working on this. If anything people are complaining that they’re banning too many people, not too few :P

It’s only been a few weeks and GW2 has had a ridiculously large number of people descend on it at once. Give them some time.

I do wish they would focus more on removing problem players/bots and less on finding ways to control them. The control mechanisms are effecting to many real players at this point.

Dont you ppl see. They are banning and taking care of botters. Have you not seen the nerfs? Thats not for us. Although it seriously effects us. SERIOUSLY. They put in the farm code etc to help deter them. Which in turn is now detering a potential paying customer(me). But lets look at the core issue here. If ppl are gonna buy gold from botters, theres gonna be botters… imagine that. Also, the real problem for anet is that the botters are selling gold cheaper than they are. And you know how bad Anet wants our money. Look at the crap economy. Lack of gold and nerfing to anything to make gold.

What’s a gold? I’m level 80 and I’m pretty sure the highest currency is silver.

i heard that Anet ban bot so quickly and serious in the gold seller
but what?
i can get ten mail for gold seller and everytime i go to event and see more and more bot their!

i add some bot as fd and report several time they still alive so good
nerf not equal to ban

finally i realize, all the game company is the same. i am playing game right now not before. how you do good before is meaningless to me.

the only thing i see are bug, bot.

If they do it like most MMOs do, they will wait and do a mass ban at one time. Problem is, the botters will just create/steal new accounts and continue on their way. And by patching into the game files a block for whatever bot they are using, by weeks end the botters will have already come up with a new program to bot with. It’s a never ending cycle, sadly, if you don’t like botters, then playing any MMO is not for you. Gold selling/account hacking is a MULTI BILLION dollar a year industry…so, sadly, they will never go away until people STOP buying their gold. YOU, the consumer are what’s causing the bots. AGAIN, THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL EVER GO AWAY IS IF PEOPLE STOP BUYING THE GOLD FROM THEM!
