Which class?
The cool thing about pvp is you don’t need to level them or gear them up to play a profession. So do whatever you like there.
Ranger is lackluster. They started weak, continue to suffer performance issues w/ bugs and stupid pet tricks, and got nerfed bad.
Warrior is a very strong profession. Definitely the fastest kill speed. They’re great for pve and wvw. Honestly not a profession I’m troubled to face in pvp, tho.
all classes actually work in both pve and pvp, some more then others,
on the subject of thief and mesmers , they do really good in dungeons aswell, mesmers portal allows for some serious had skipping, and thief is good in single target dps/ has good condi aoe to
I started on a Thief, but I gotta be honest, I’ve been living on my Guardian in dungeons lately…. rolling into dungeons with 3x or 4x guardians has lead to some insanely smooth runs…. I keep hearing that 5x guardian groups are impressive as all get out, but I have yet to get one together.
That being said, I take my Thief to Orr… not my Guardian, and always take my Thief to WvW. I just like how fast and responsive the thief feels in those areas.
After investigating all classes I settled on Mesmer. They get pretty kitten powerful
Honestly, it depends on what you want, and what style you want it in. I can help if you give me a concept.
I’m a mesmer personally. Hilariously warrior feels too squishy to me by comparison. But pretty much every class brings something to the table, even ranger (It’s called healing spring in their case)
Thanks for the replies however none of these anwsered my question. It’s not really what I like in PvP I’ve tried all the classes in PvP so I don’t really dislike any of them just need to know whats would work for Dungeons PVE and WvW together. Unlike how I leveled my ranger for a few days then felt the entire time was wasted because of how worthless they feel.

Honestly, if you’re skilled and able to juggle a lot of abilities, dagger/dagger elementalist.
Fantastic and fun class, with a ton of tricks and incredibly strong in PVE/PVP/WVW.
If you’re unskilled, warrior will suit fine, it’s very basic and predictable but easy to understand and play at average level.

Ah, thank you Elementalist it is.

Don’t be so quick. Mesmer is also capable of juggling abilities and functions, though less in terms of cooldowns, and more in terms of having a large list of utilities designed for specific tasks, as well as constantly having to adjust and keep tabs on how many illusions you have in play, and their individual weapons or phantasmal abilities.
Engineer as well can juggle alot of abilities and styles based on the situation, from bomb melee combat medic styles to rifle trickery, to grenadier, all in the middle of the fight proper, and a ability kit that changes much more with your choices than any other class, as each utility and your heal also add an additional skill, or entire set of skills atop just them.
