I don’t know if this was on purpose or not but the new Whispers leggings have ruined my overall look and it was the only legging that looked as dark as the rest of my set.

I find that other leggings are not as dark as the Whisperer one and now they ruined my look…

Will this stay or will it be fixed?

It’s not just the legs. It’s the entire set.

The coat, the boots, and the leggings all have weird perma colors added to them as well. Mine are partially red for some reason. (Was all abyss dye before)

The number of coloring slots on my whispers armor (chest) has been reduced from 4 to 3. Now part of the armor is permanently red and it doesn´t fit at all.

I hope this is just a bug. It cannot imagine how any (sane) dev would consider this a change for good.

maybe ANET thought that the whisper set was too popular and decided to NERF NERF NERF it

Oh, I really hope this was not intentional. I am not usually a fan of armor sets with “perma-dyed” parts, it really limits versatility.

I was really looking forward to the Whispers armor for my poor medium armor wearing character, but not if parts of it are stuck being red.

Oh kitten I’m leveling a thief and wondered about getting this set. I was already not a huge fan of the perma gold parts and now this… I guess I just won’t take it if it stays that way.

I really hope this was a mistake as well. I don’t really have a dog in the fight, as I don’t have nor do I plan on getting Whispers armor, but why woudl I ever spend any time or money on dyes or skins when some dev in Seattle can just decide to make my toon look any way he/she wants.

Not going to drop a dime on that (be it gold/karma/laurel/gem/next-new-currency). Seems Anet can’t leave anything as is.

i have the same problem with my shoudlers its unusable atm…it must be a bug i mean red blades seriously?

Yeah, my boots now have red daggers attached to them. I’m hoping this is a bug. If it isn’t, why on Earth are they red? At least permanently metal coloured would have made sense…

Is this only on medium armour?
My game is still updating so can’t check.
My main has been wearing Whispers light since Sept and I will really freak out if this is true- report it- let’s all hope to the six it is a bug.

I really hope this is not permanent and change it back. I can’t work with this color, nor do I want it. Plus one of the major reasons I chose these armor skins was that it had four color slots on many of them, which is rare.

I’d have to go to the vendor to be sure but plugging in the links to the Whispers sets my preview shows the wierd red inclusions in the Medium set but no such effect in the Light or Heavy ones.

I am not going to purchase any armor/weapon skins of any type (gem store, cultural, etc.) until Arenanet answers for this change.
This is no different than going to buy a car that has various features, then half a year later the dealer comes by an removes the GPS without stating why.

If they think they can get away with modifying one set of armor like this, they will continue to do the same, no matter how much people paid for it. It doesn’t matter if it’s karma, gems, or whatever, players put their time and effort into obtaining these items and chose said items based on their appearance. If Arenanet is going to just up and redesign armor sets on a whim, then maybe players shouldn’t be investing in them.

Could any dev confirm this is a bug or if it’s intended? I don’t wanna waste any unnecessary money/tokens.

This is bad.. logged on today and I see my armor is now red and daggers and can’t do anything about it.. this seriously can’t be intended..

I’m also hoping this was unintentional and it’ll change back soon. Wish someone would give us an answer. The red looks neon compared to the other colors on my sylvari thief

If it doesn’t change back guess I’ll be looking into a transmuting it. Too bad the fine transmutation stones already were on sale, guess I should’ve invested then!
