Question, considering Sylvari don’t “breed”, how exactly would Caithe have a daughter?

Possibly…. but the similarities between the image and the npc are just too much, I think, for that.

Every teaser image of the following patch is called “next hero”, so nothing else there. TA might be Twilight Arbour or may not be it. I hope it is.

Edit: Anyway, clearly Caithe.

If you inspect the file name for the current living story graphic on the release page it says “b26859-17_TR_CurrentHero_NA.jpg” (Tequatl Rising _ Current Hero)

The graphic posted has the file name of
“7bec610-01_TA_NextHero_EN.jpg” (Tequatl A….? _Next Hero)

I don’t know if I would say she is “definitely” caithe. The skin tone is off with the previously released art style, but the direct correlation between artwork to artwork does vary, so that is excusable.

Also notice that she has a sort of shadowy mist/wave enveloping her body and outstretched arm behind her. In the had it appears to be a dagger, so some sort of rogue type character (also aligns with caithe I know, so not ruled out).

The “TA” could be twilight arbor, or it could be a continuation of the current story and its Teqatl Attacks?

The current and next hero part I don’t know if it is just how the named the release page graphics or if they coincide with each other some how.

She does not “seem” sylvari to me and the hair is parted different with a more flesh like skin tone than plant. Could still be caithe, but right now I have doubts.

well whatever this is if its next month (October) I hope it isn’t doesn’t get rid of Halloween and replace it with LS. I would be very mad.

You sneaky, sneaky devil. Anyway you could PM me the rest of the info (I’m curious about the Lore canon behind the connection between the Twilight and Scarlet).

I completely figured that Twilight (based on the TA in the subtext of the image name) and Caith (based on the image itself) was going to be in it, but to have Scarlet is just astonishing.

Also, neither of those images match the aesthetics of Aetherblade Retreat or Molten Weapon Facility. That being the case, this must be a new dungeon for players to experience….yet still has Molten Alliance members as well as Aetherblade tech. The blending is maddening! They did this during her (Scarlet) invasions, but those were still separated by phases that they’re summoned to the battlefield. To think that these polar opposite factions could work so closely together under the same roof at the behest of Scarlet is curious to the mind.

P.S. My speculation on the next patch’s name is “Twilight’s Ascent”

Not likely. Neither of those leaked/data-mined images from Sjien match those locations. Also there’s the consideration that Scarlet was not in either of those events, which Fractals being a ‘slice of time’ would reflect such and not have her there.

In any case, I doubt it’s Caithe’s daughter as has been suggested (Sylvari cannot have babies). But who knows! Maybe it is Queen Jennah in a mesmer disguise. The world is mysterious.

lore interruption. Sylvari not only don’t breed, but they have no care at all for gender, just like the all female race in mass effect, the Asari. Sylvari just don’t care. they were not made to care of such a trivial thing.
