Why is everyone so mad about the precursor?
Boring and overpriced craft system.
I’m mad because they keep making us make these “spiritwood planks”, which involves boring things like gathering.
I wouldn’t mind if it takes a long time as long as the tasks are actually fun… like the collections themselves are fun tasks… spreading 100 bloodstone dust etc. Gathering thousands of soft wood to make spiritwood planks? = BORING.
It’s pretty obvious the designer of this precursor system try to do 2 things with this flawed system:
1. To scare off people with this extremely long and boring task of collecting 30000 woods/ ores, so legendary weapons can keep their scarcity.
2. To make “rich credit card casuals” able to get those weapons easily, and get ALOT of money from those “rich credit card casuals” with the shiny skins that took Anet a week to make. This one is obvious because 95% of the materials of new legendaries are tradable. (T7 material, PVP tokens, WvW tokens, t6 rare materials, you name it)
