I’m really behind on all my ore, I will need like 500 ore for my wep and a couple hundred more to finish my ascended armor set. I wish there was an alternate way of getting dragonite ore, like maybe paying karma for it or buying them from the tp, I would even be willing to pay as much as 1 gold each for them. You might say ‘play the game and do the events, ore is easy to get’ but the truth is that theres only one site that I know of for the megaboss events, I struggle to do them every day and sometimes I log in too late and miss them altogether. I can’t even do the temples anymore because there’s no site which tells me which ones are active.

Besides even for crafting legendaries, there’s always alternate ways to get things. don’t want to buy T6 mats from the TP? you can get them from the MF with the recipes for promotion. don’t want to pay laurels for obsidian shards? you can get them easy with karma instead. and badges of honor for Gift of Battle? you aren’t forced to do WvW y’know, you can instead do JPs like Obsidian Sanctum and get them from the chest at the end. You can also buy WvW ranks with badges too (talk about easy). So why is the only way to get dragonite ore currently by doing megaboss events over and over again?

Try the Edge of the Mists karma train for dragonite or regular wvw from keep lords.

Dragonites are too common. I get a stack or 2 per day. What they need to do is buff Empyreals, because I’m lacking in those.

Whether you end up with too much Empyreal or too much Dragonite depends on what content you do. The deficit you end up with is Arenanet’s way to force players to do content they wouldn’t otherwise do because it’s not fun in its own right.

That’s highly subjective. I’m drowning in empyreal from the fractals, and drowning in dragonite from my previous temple runs. WvW buries me in both constantly.

All these activities are fun in their own right.

I mentioned that this applies if you have a deficit. Many players experience this. If you don’t have a deficit after doing activities you enjoy, this doesn’t apply to you.

I would say I make it on time for maybe 2 events a day, not much ore at all. I wouldn’t complain so much if I was also able to do temples like I used to, but I don’t even know when they start now.

If you need some more Dragonite, I can highly recommend running EotM for a couple hours. You’ll have so much Dragonite you’ll think your Dragonite started having baby Dragonites.

Look at the Dragonite Ore wiki page someone posted above to see which bosses give dragonite. To me this is still pretty tedious, but at least you know when to jump in.

inb4 people swarming you with “just camp cursed shore and wait for someone to shout out the bosses in /map, it’s so fun! It’s how the game’s supposed to be played, back in the day we had no timers and we had to wait around to get our rewards! That’s content! Also, I’m drowning in dragonite so it must be fine for you too…” No wait, that was already done. Hm.
Uhhhh, then… well, okay, good luck with your quest. Just adding this: do you think the scarcity of dragonite for non-wvwers, non zergers, dungeon crawlers is…. uh… unintended? unplanned? unwanted?
I kinda formed my own opinion on this matter.

Please put dragonite in fractals. :<

Fractals is the only place where you absolutely need ascended gear. All ascended mats should be possible to gain from fractals.

Really? I get like 3 stacks of empyreals a day doing dungeons. Anet set it up that way to get people to play a variety of content. That’s the whole point.
