To be frank, I’m not sure what you mean. You say “grinding”. Grinding what, exactly?
A)Mastery point experience? In that case, since it is account bound you just play whatever you feel like.
B) Events and meta events? Either one will fly there, too. Though for each meta I tend to favor the following classes:
Verdant Brink: Reaper
Auric Basin: Daredevil
Tangled Depths: Tempest
Dragon Stand: Chronomancer
C) EOTM? Either Flamethrower scrapper or staff guard.
D) Raids? Don’t know. I don’t have a raid group.
E) Fractals? Generally anything.
I don’t have opinions. I only have facts I can’t adequately prove.
I’d say a class that’s new to you. It’s always more fun when you’re learning new stuff whilst you go through events. I played my guardian through HoT originally, then used the areas to learn Daredevil and Revenant.
I guess it’s personal preference on what you enjoy doing as a class. However for HoT I probably got the most out of my Reaper/Necro. Especially when grinding out for anything in HoT. Tangled Depths is certainly fun as a Reaper against the chak. However now that I have made a viper Tempest/Elementalist with Dagger/Warhorn combo it has also been fun to play in TD & DS.
Dragon Stand with Scrapper/Engineer can be useful when having the Sneak Gyro for that last 15 minute reward/explore section. Daredevil/Thief with a pure venom build I used to help take out Vinetooth Prime in Auric Basin. Dragonhunter/Guardian is fun use. Even though I kind of use him sparingly. Due to me using him as a primary for old core content all the time (especially dungeons/fractals).
After that it’s kind of mixed bag because the rest of the classes either feel underwhelming, or I have not found the right niche for them. That even includes the Herald/Revenant which I find boring outside of team play. Same could be said with my current Chronomancer/Mesmer build. Yet I used to love playing my Mesmer in core.
I use Viper D/D Daredevil. Gets around quickly, lotsa aoe tagging and can solo hard enemies and large swarms easily. Only downfall is ranged damage is garbage so anti-melee bosses like the Chak Crown are depressing and make you feel like the kid who’s selected last in basketball team setup.

I’d like to use reaper/dragon hunter but can’t seem to find a good build for either if u guys got good ones and u wanna share that be greatly appreciated
